Good

That is a nice hostel. I did have a good chat with the owner and the cleaning lady is very kind and helpfull. something can be done to improve the dormitory bathroom (quite dirty and the door doesn't even close).
We have been treated very well and moved to separated room the 2nd day and was perfect. Like having a private apartment.

Hostal del Piamonte is the Pits

Hostal del Piamonte is your basic hostel with basic accommodations. The location was good in the Mariscal Foch area, but it was really noisy until about 3 am. The rooms were clean but sheets, towels and bed covers were older and worn out. A word of warning: If you use a booking service to book the room such as Hostelworld, the hostel will not apply the portion you paid to make the reservation to the price of the room. Even if you show them the confirmation with the remaining balance. The attendant was rude and when I talked to the manager, she was disinterested and refused to budge. There are too many other choices of places to stay. Stay away from this place.

electric shower

The people were ok, could have been nicer. Nice place and te room was not bad. Good location near foch plaza and el maple cafe. The shower head was electric, which was weird and say but great. One of the first places in south america tat had hot water all the time. Bathroom was nice. Don't get te breaks though. You have to pay for it and it sucks. Price is ok. Could be cheaper. But not bad

Rude service

We, two friends, booked for a night and asked for two beds. The guy showed us our room only to be woken up hours later when we were already sleeping telling us we were in the wrong room and had to move to another room with more beds. Now we didn't mind moving to another room but we do mind the fact that he only came to realise his own mistake so late at night that he felt the need to wake us up again. And than the attitude. .... not even saying sorry but trying to put the blame on us while he showed us the room. Then he shows us the room wanting us to sleep in 1 small double bed. Tried to explain to him that we are not sleeping in one bed when we paid for two beds but the guy just acted like a jerk ths whole time. It would have been fine if they just tried to solve it elegantly but that word does not excist in their vocabulary.

Good location but way overpriced

Positives:
Was pretty central to the mariscal district, close to Plaza Foch.
Average breakfast - scrambled egg, piece of toast, little bit of jam. Only coffee, no hot water.
Friendly reception staff.
Secure building - had to be let out of the locked gate at the front.
Negatives:
Worst shower ever - absolutely tiny and a cold dribble. The "bathroom" was actually a converted cupboard.
Very overpriced for what you get.
We paid the same price for much better bed & breakfast 2 mins down the road.
