Far away from everything

The hostel is far away from Manta and from nearby Town Jaramijó. The are looks like a ghetto, but the hostel is clean and ok.
The owner family is kind of harsh and always in a bad mood. There is food, which is not very good but cheap.

Far from downtown Manta. Cabbie did not know where it was and charged $10. For what should have been at the most a $4.00 fare. Owner and wife were welcoming but our ability not to speak Spanish was a problem. The owner's wife fixed us an evening meal which was delicious and she only charged $5.00 for the two of us. The place had WiFi but it didn't always work unless you were close to the office. The next day the owner took us to the waterfront and let us off on our own. We met up with a referred friend who helped us find an economical place to stay after we completed our 2 nights at Auto Hostel Jarimisol. The owner had told us to call when we were ready to come back. When we called, the wife could not understand English do we ended up taking a cab and this time the cab driver knew the way and did not overcharge. The air conditioner advertised was a fan. There was no hot water. None of the other amenities advertised were present. The owner and his wife were nice enough but they don't have much of an operation to recommend.
