Hotel was a great location for us in our stay in Quito. Hotel is in need of maintenance and some love and care but we were generally happy with the facilities. Good location and has potential if it is upgraded.
Breakfast was very good and great views from the room.
Outdoor pool and gymnasium good for exercise and weary travellers.

Terrible food and service

The food at the restaurant in the penthouse was a buffet. There was little variety and the quality was poor. Out of 4 main plates, there was one that was ok. The rest was stale and dry. Drinks were almost non existent: tiny glasses to get water from a jar-like vase.
Salvable: they had a piano player and he was good.
The view is fantastic. But we will not go back there.
It is obvious that the current administration knows little about hospitality and service and hotel management.

Classic, beautiful and with a view that falls in love

The atmosphere is super quiet, ideal to unwind for a while. I enjoyed seeing other tourists, walking around the hotel and just enjoying the place. And something that definitely takes all the points is the view... it's beautiful, the kind that makes you stop for a while just to look.

Great location with views across the valley & beyond to Cayambe volcano. Room spacious and clean, breakfast very good & dinner was also excellent & reasonably priced. Staff always on hand to help if needed. The heated swimming pool is a bonus, a gym if you want more exercise. 10 minutes in a taxi to the historic centre & botanical gardens. A great stay

We have stayed here around Easter time each year over the last four years & haven't been disappointed. The location is stunning, the staff are so helpful nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was great with so much choice, the occasions we had dinner, the food was excellent & not expensive for a hotel of it's stature. The heated pool & facilities, gardens were a pleasure to enjoy. Being 65 years old the hotel is a little dated, but there are signs of updating underway, but this wouldn't deter us from staying there in the future. The bedrooms are spacious & the housekeeping is very good.
