No internet and unfair charges

The reason for this bad review isn’t because the room was dirty or the hotel wasn’t clean or anything. The reason I’m giving this is due to the WiFi being down my whole stay and due to my data not working abroad I had no internet my whole stay. As you can imagine, this isn’t ideal for someone on a solo trip to a country they are unfamiliar with and can’t speak the language in which they have visited. I was also told on arrival that I had drinks in my personal refrigerator and I was allowed to have at no extra cost. After checking out of the hotel, while around the corner from the hotel, one of the staff came to me letting me know that I have to pay for the drinks in that fridge, I explained I was told that it was complementary but was told that wasn’t the case I had to pay for them. I also had to pay for the pillow I used as it had some sweat stains on it which of course I can’t avoid due to the heat. Considering the fact that I only used the hotel to sleep and first thing in the morning I was out exploring, regardless of having no internet connection till I was ready to go sleep I feel the payments I made for the stay, including the extra charges are unjust.

The room was nice and bathroom was nice and clean, my problems were that the WiFi didn't work throughout my stay and due to my phone data not working, was unable to use my phone for anything my entire stay. I was also charged for the drinks in the rooms fridge which originally I was told I was allowed to have. I was also charged for grease/sweat stains on my pillow which is inevitable in a hot country. Won’t be staying again considering I wasn’t even compensated for the lack of WiFi.

Our room was big and beautiful, but it was a bit dirty. You could tell the floors were not cleaned for sometime. The shower tub would leak water, and it would spread on the floor. So if you used the toilet, you would have to step on it. The breakfast could have been better with more options. We didn’t get any options.

The room was great, the location is a bit far out from luxor town but is 100% worth it bcs you could enjoy the views of the hot air balloons overhead during breakfast. Mohra helped us well with even setting up shuttle service to the station and a hit air balloon ride in the morning (separate charge). Overall great stay, would recommend.
