A great base camp for exploring Auvers-sur-Oise

Great location, right at the heart of Auvers-sur-Oise. Great room with lovely Van Gogh themed decore and anice view, and a fabulous breakfast. We only wish we could have stayed longer and got better luck with the weather so that we could have made more use of the pleasant courtyard.
We found Auvers great for exploring on foot. We walked to the famous church (several times), the cemetery (to see Vince and Theo, but found more), Van Gogh's wheat field, the marvelous fossil-encrusted Site géologique de l’Auversien, the château and its informative Van Gogh exhibit, the Van Gogh house (for a tour), and the fabulous and fun Musée de l'Absinthe. In spite of the rain, we may very well have enjoyed Auvers more than Paris. And here I thought we wouldn't find enough to do!

Very small boutique hotel, very warm welcome.

Two nights for a short stay in Auvers following in the footsteps of Van Gogh. Small boutique hotel, very well located in the heart of the village. Few rooms, small breakfast room and small garden, but everything is well decorated and very pleasant. Very welcoming and kind hosts. Excellent breakfast, very hearty. We crossed paths with several people on bikes who were stopping there for the night.

A wonderful hotel in Auvers-Sur-Oise!

We loved our stay at the Hotel Des Iris. The hotel is very charming, with a lot of nice touches. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with AC and a modern bathroom. A lovely breakfast was served in the courtyard garden. (There is also an indoor breakfast room). The hotel is a short walk from many sights where Van Gogh lived and painted. I would definitely go back and I recommend this place to one and all!

A simple, clean hotel in an excellent position opposite the maison de Van Gogh.
Breakfast was good and servers to our table. Checking in was rather impersonal with a code sent to my phone to enter a rear garden door as there was nobody on reception when we arrived.

Lovely hotel, perfectly located for easy access to all historic points in the village. Pleasant helpful staff. Highly recommend
