Upmarket Chambre d'Hotes with nice swimming pool

We only stayed one night on our way home from holiday. Unusual place. Quirky (in a good way) rooms inside an old chateau building. Nice swimming pool to chill after a long drive. Very isolated down narrow lanes - but well signposted. Lovely drive up to the property and very peaceful.
We ate in town as owner was unable to tell us what food would be included in the evening meal and we wanted to have some idea - we are not, for example, keen on game or river fish, wife cannot eat spicy things etc. Not normally an issue but with no choice on the menu here and no idea what would be on offer, we did not want to risk. Meal in town was poor (Le Vin'Lencay) so maybe we should have chanced the meal at Sainte Colombe! But with a number of breakfast items being in pre-packed containers maybe not? We will never know.
Not really a hotel, more an upmarket Chambre d'Hotes.

A relaxing break out of time

Rejuvenating stay in a beautiful and tastefully decorated house. A real haven of peace. Thanks to Anastasia for her welcome without forgetting her cooking and breakfasts. Everything was perfect. Real happiness

Lovely place to relax and recharge

We stayed for one night , had dinner and breakfast . Everything was perfect .
We stayed in the smallest room as that is the one that’s dog friendly it was perfect . Tastefully decorated super clean and plenty big enough . The bed was really comfortable I slept really well which is unusual in hotels . Dinner was lovely and served in a pretty dining room . Breakfast was just as good and plentiful with Yorkshire tea what more can you ask for !! A great pool with perfectly maintained gardens and a lovely welcome .
We will certainly book again . Thank you

Haven of peace!

Charming building, very complete pool house kitchen, living room, dining area. Everything is done to have a meal by the pool. The exteriors are beautiful and very well maintained. Breakfasts are more than complete with fresh products. The welcome is warm. I would have liked to have a common room inside to keep busy in the evening (billard, reading, game...). I totally recommend.

A very nice discovery!

What a nice surprise to find a superb little castle in such soothing greenery. Excellent welcome from Anastasia. Silky, soft sheets. Breakfast in a bright room.
We will definitely come back because it was the best stop on our trip.
