Hotel not to be missed
As for the restaurant la Sapinière, whose direction is the same, we eat very well, perfect service as much as the welcome. I recommend. You can't go to Brioude without going through these two establishments. La Sapinière is also a hotel.

Pure relaxation
The hotel as well as the entire service are run unchanged by one sister, not only perfect, but also humanly close and helpful. This is why not only younger people feel comfortable, older people are also well looked after; it also has an elevator and rooms for people who have physical difficulties. The people who work here do so with joy and affection, which speaks for the company.
However, the restaurant is cooked by both the older sister and their daughter. Today rare, but pleasant, the daughter's hand shows tremendous care. Maybe some formerly very sumptuous dessert a little simpler, which is good, you can concentrate on the essentials. The dishes have all remained, regional, vegetable-hugging, the meat of the very first quality. I haven't had such good lamb chops in the restaurant for many years. Regional: Where do you get a cabbage head filled with pork and snails in a vegetable sauce? Or lentils with a dumpling of offal perched in the middle, baked with cheese from the region. And both are delicious and slim. Meat is usually served with vegetables, the sauce that comes out of it is guaranteed to have seen no aids whatsoever. When it got hot, the main courses were supplemented with red ratatouille - a treat for a white auvergnate from Saint Pourcain.
Before as greetings from the kitchen, small, very simple things are still brought, but almost more imaginative.
I recommend the half board, which is not so exciting financially, but you no longer have to do the math and only have to consider the wine. Prices have risen only moderately for developments in recent years.
You also have to calculate that in addition to a sandwich and mineral water you have to charge at most the evening bar visit, otherwise nature is free. By the way, we had camping chairs with us and, when it got hot at noon, we sat on the beach - here in a meadow under trees on the banks of the violently moving Allier, almost completely alone and quiet; deckchair fees can be forgotten that way. Good breakfast and locked parking is also free.
Logically, for next year we book again - but not too late, the house is very popular.
Very good location
