Charming, quiet b&b

A very welcoming experience at this bed and breakfast house, the home of the very friendly and helpful owners. The house is located on a quiet side street with parking on the road or in the owners secure driveway. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with nice views over the garden. Breakfast was simple but tasty

Benefiting from a remarkable, quiet location in a large property a few steps from the small medieval town of Crémieu, 30 minutes by car from the OL stadium and just a little further from Lyon, the Villa des Contamines is certainly an address To advice. Spacious and comfortable rooms, nice kitchen and shared lounge. The owners are affable and invest themselves with passion in the quality of their guests' stay by advising them on restaurants, parking, good deals, etc. They are also attentive to your specific wishes, for example at breakfast. This B&B has that little extra that makes it deserve the maximum score.

Fabulous Stay!

We had a wonderful stay with Vincenta and her charming husband. Cremieu is a gorgeous place to visit and the accommodation is a few minutes walk from the centre. The room was lovely and the breakfast was fabulous with still warm bread from the bakery. It's a great stop off if doing the Via Rhona bike trail. Very highly recommended!

An excellent 'find'

We were very lucky to get the last room as the Villa des Contamines is a real gem. The room was excellent with twin beds as we wished and the owners extremely friendly and accommodating. We were even invited for an evening drink with the other guests - 'on the house'. We will be definitely be going back there again when we are in the area.

Really, really nice!

Cremieu is one of those little gems that you stumble across and Villa des Contamines is located just 2 to 3 minutes walk from the town centre. Vicenta, Joel and their lovely house fall into the same category as the town - they are gems!
There is a choice of 3 bedrooms, all newly refurbished to the highest standard and all en suite, one of them is actually a suite with a kitchen included, for those that are enjoying longer visits.
The house, located on a quiet street, is old with lots of character, modernised sympathetically - the staircase is just lovely.
The suite covers most of the first floor whilst the two double bedrooms are on the second floor. Our bedroom, located at the rear of the house, had the most amazing view of the abbey which is situated on an escarpment overlooking the town.
Continental breakfast is ample and Vicenta’s home made jams are delicious.
English is spoken for those that struggle with French and you will be made to feel very welcome - it’s just really, really nice!
