Good luck with this Lion d’or restaurant in Ecouché! Shame on anyone who thinks about it!

On the way to the Château de Carrouges, we stopped at the restaurant Le Lion d'or in Eouché-les-Vallées. Good pick: after a warm welcome, the hostess directed us to a beautiful and comfortable room with a spacious oak table. The unique lunch menu offered an appetizing and varied cold buffet followed by exquisite slices of tender and succulent roast beef with its garnish, served by the cook himself. The "homemade" desserts, certainly classic, were particularly delicious. All for a very reasonable price. Very favorable impression therefore which contrasts with the last assessment published by Trip Advisor under the signature of Mike Prior: "....nothing wrong with the hotel, but the rudeness of the male, presumed owner, was unprecedented. He was horrible , while the lady...."
Such an assessment left us doubtful. Is it the spirit of the times which arouses such hostility towards the “male” (Metoouesque androphobia?) especially if he decides to be an owner?
The bearded man who served us very courteously yesterday noon did not inspire us with such a harsh judgment.
Shame on anyone who thinks about it!

Excellent second stay at the hotel great friendly and attentive service. Definately will return. Lovely breakfast fresh croissants, brioche and lovely bread and selection of jams polished off with coffee and orange juice.
