Une Pépite d’Honfleur

Superb hotel in the heart of Honfleur. Full of Normandy charm and comfort. Bedroom was lovely. The reception area with its honesty bar is a welcoming place to chill out. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel’s nearby private parking is also a major bonus.

Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous interiors. Stingy breakfast.

L’Absinthe is right at the centre of this beautiful town and despite that, our room (the suite in the main building) was really peaceful and so made for a very restful stay. It was also spacious and well air conditioned which was very welcome.
The furniture through has been chosen with an eye for eclectic style and so it’s a very unusual and beautiful hotel.
Overall, it was an excellent stay. I suggest to eat breakfast out (see note below).
Breakfast is a note for improving - it was a disappointment. I selected a rate which meant that breakfast was ‘included’.
We opted for eggs (€4 extra), bacon (€2 extra), granola (extra), yoghurt (extra) etc etc.
This is not a youth hostel - it is a beautiful hotel and so I think a more generous approach to breakfast (even charging a slightly higher price but make it all in) would seem more appropriate.

Wonderful location on the water front. Historic old charm building. Pleasant and very comfortable room and bedding. Staff and the Owner were so helpful. Loved our stay!

Beautiful hotel in central location

The L’Absinthe Hotel is centrally located in the middle of Honfleur just a few yards from the water’s edge. It is a beautiful, characterful building and the owners have retained the heritage but made it a cosy, welcoming place with nicely furnished rooms offering all the essentials. Breakfast was simple but plentiful; staff were welcoming and helpful and private secure indoor parking was available a five minute walk away. If I was visiting Honfleur again I would have no hesitation returning to this hotel.

Charming Hotel with Delightful Hosts in a Great Location

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The location is absolutely perfect. Gregoire and Max were delightful hosts who made us feel very welcome and prepared delicious breakfasts. Our rooms overlooked the harbor and were very nice. Parking was relatively close by and convenient.
