To be avoided!!!!

We came as friends on Thursday, June 25, 2026, to the restaurant "La Renaissance" in Montdidier (80500).
Very bad aperitif, warm, one of the two contained two yellowed mint leaves. We asked for another one, "well no, we can't, we have no more mint... well then a beer..."
Then, I was served a salmon carpaccio that looked very disgusting. Strong odor, cardboard-like appearance. I decide to taste a piece. Very strong in flavor, salty and unpleasant. And at the moment of lifting it, a piece placed strangely, this small piece deliberately hid mold with hairs. And the smell was no longer bearable.
We are informed that this salmon carpaccio was cut in the morning and that indeed the cold room "is not working well." And I am told that another one will be prepared for me. I refuse; I want something else. The staff is complaining.
The rest of the meal was not exceptional and the cream for dessert was lukewarm. We are sold house-made, "frozen" fries that are overcooked; we ask about the dessert, it is not house-made. Aside from the mold, what do you make?
What an idea I had to forget to take a photo!!!
And the checkout took forever....
NO COMMERCIAL GESTURE, NO "CHEF" APOLOGIES if we can call that a chef!! A SHAME
I was sick all night, of course... RUN AWAY!!!!!

Simply disappointing

The family that runs this hotel are the kindness people. They are the new owners and have done everything they can to provide the hotel with a fresh start. They were attentive, friendly, provided superior customer service and delightful. We were so lucky to have stumbled upon this place.
