We chose this hotel because it markets itself as a premium luxury property, and at nearly €700 per night, our expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to either the description or the price point.
One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of working WiFi in our room. Throughout our stay, we had to rely on mobile hotspots to stay connected, which is simply not acceptable at this level of hotel.
We had also informed the hotel in advance
that we were on our honeymoon. While I do not expect elaborate gifts or special treatment, a simple card, greeting, or a few flowers would have been a thoughtful gesture and is something many premium hotels provide for such occasions. The complete absence of any acknowledgement was disappointing.
Another example of poor value was the refusal to refill a water bottle. When guests are paying €700 per night, charging for or refusing such a basic courtesy comes across as unnecessarily cheap and inconsistent with a luxury experience.
In addition, check-in was delayed, which was frustrating after a long journey and did not create a great first impression.
To be fair, the hotel itself was generally pleasant, and there was nothing fundamentally wrong with the stay. However, luxury hospitality is about attention to detail, service, and making guests feel genuinely cared for. Those elements were largely missing here.

It was probably the best hotel that we have stayed in. The service was outstanding! It was in one word fantastic! We will be back!

This is an older hotel that sits right across tge street from the best beach in Nice. It is very close to restaurant row. The staff are very helpful.
The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable.
For the price you get a beautiful room at a great location.
Just overlook some of the dated furnishings and you will be very happy.

At West End Nice A Perfect Meaning for AI

West End Hotel in Nice, France, gives a new bilingual meaning to the term AI. At the West End AI means Accueil Impeccable, an impeccable welcome. From the “quick-change-no problem” reservation department to the reception desk, the concierge service, the overwhelming breakfast-included presentation and through all the housekeeping and general staff ready to help with any problem or unexpected question, West End people are all about visitor service. The view of the Mediterranean and the sweeping Bay of Nice doesn’t hurt either.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location right on the Promenade des Anglais. The room was comfortable and very clean, the staff were friendly and professional, and everything was within easy walking distance. A wonderful stay in Nice – I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
