Gorgeous property close to Chablis
The bed and linen was superb.
Antique used to own a Cordon Bleu cookery school in Paris which explains the outstanding breakfast. Just superb and served in a rose scented courtyard under a huge parasol. Sublime.
The priory is set 5-6 min stroll from the bridge leading over the river, through the medieval gate and into this cobbled little town of medieval buildings and lovely little squares.

⚠️ WARNING TO ALL TRAVELLERS ⚠️
Avoid this place at all costs — especially if you’re traveling with children or expect basic decency.
We booked this accommodation via Booking.com for two adults and two small children (ages 3 and 5). The hotel appeared in the search results after entering our full party, which clearly included children. We immediately messaged the hosts asking for a cot and explained we were a family.
Over 12 hours later, they finally replied — rudely — stating children were not allowed and no extra beds accepted. We requested an immediate cancellation and refund well in advance of our stay, giving them plenty of time to rebook the room. Despite this, they refused to refund our €160 and became increasingly hostile and aggressive in their messages — even threatening to call the police on us for arriving with our family.
Their tone was not only unprofessional, it was openly unfriendly and combative. They repeatedly refused to engage constructively, and instead doubled down on blaming us for a situation clearly caused by a misleading listing on Booking.com.
They are not just bad hosts — they are dishonest and opportunistic, exploiting cancellation policies to steal money from good-faith travelers.
They kept €160, knowing full well they could easily rebook the room — and chose instead to threaten and intimidate.
PLEASE, DON'T BOOK HERE. THEY ARE CONMEN OUT FOR YOUR MONEY.

Beautiful residence
Very nice room, spacious, surprising and confusing decoration in relation to the style of the house.
Hotel type services and not guest rooms.
