Room and ensuite clean. Comfortable bed and very welcome and effective air-conditioning during excessively hot spell. Very good buffet breakfast which could be eaten outside on terrace with awning when weather permitting. Small but pleasant and helpful staff. Only downside perhaps was lack of outside space to sit

Room and ensuite spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable and very welcome and efficient air-conditioning during excessively hot spell. Room very quiet. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very good buffet breakfast which could be eaten outside on terrace with awning weather permitting. Only downside was lack of space outside to sit or lounge area inside but probably not really necessary as most guests appeared to be overnighting enroute to other places. A pity because Saintes is an interesting and pleasant town. Good restaurant right next door.

Very good value for money for an overnight stop

Family hotel whose appearance may surprise those accustomed to Best Western. It is less cozy than the chain's hotels, more authentic and less standardized. Excellent value for money. The exterior of the hotel could use a refresh, but the rooms have been renovated and are nice, even if some choices, like keeping the old closets, are not very fortunate. Breakfast is very good (the comment about frozen croissants is false; we had fresh mini pastries, Charentaise cake, eggs, bacon, pancakes, marble cake, and fruit... it is July, so it might depend on occupancy, but as far as we are concerned, it was very good for the price). It is quiet, and the bedding and pillows are comfortable, with air conditioning that was very appreciated during the heatwave. All in all, a very good choice for an overnight stop. Close to the center for going to a restaurant (there is a "La Boucherie" restaurant right next door and other chains for those who do not want to take their car again to go to dinner).

Very good hotel

Very satisfied by the Quality of Service, Cleanliness, Quiet and Quality of Bedding.
Had a room upstairs in the 2nd building.
Recent bathroom, small balcony. 2 single beds + an extra bed A delight. We highly recommend this property

The rooms are clean, there is choice at breakfast and the welcome is warm. I recommend and will be back with pleasure
