It was all very good

I've been very well received. The staff is friendly and accommodating the room was clean and the breakfast buffet was great if I go to Aachen again I would love to stay there again and would recommend it.

Family atmosphere beyond the chain oneness

If you want to stay beyond the hotel chain monopoly, Bensons is the place to be. Within walking distance to the train station and the old town of Aachen you will be welcomed and looked after family.
The rooms are well maintained, the single rooms a bit small, but that more than makes up for the atmosphere.

Price quality more than OK

Spacious, neat room with minibar and even a bottle of sparkling water for free. Breakfast buffet more than OK. Eggs and bacon prepared ala minute. Friendly welcome and service. Small, simple bathroom, but neat. Top price quality.

Straight there...

Arrived at Aachen by train from Bonn via Cologne.
The hotel is no more than 200 yards from the train station; straight across the square up Bahaoff street and the hotels on the right.
A straight forward book in (face mask on) and straight to the room.
The room was clean and tidy and the bathroom likewise. Ample wardrobe space but alas no kettle; but this loss is made up with the room having a fridge.
However, with the temperature reaching the low 30s the room required Air Conditioning sadly there is none.
We don't pass comment on sleep quality as you either have good night sleep or you don't can't blame the hotel: simple really.
The hotel is less than half a mile to Aachen town center and the local sites. The Dom is certainly worth a visit and the hotel will supply a map.
Breakfast at the hotel was certainly worth the money although we declined their tea offer!
Overall a good clean and tidy hotel, in a good location and, with an equal pleasant staff.
What more does anyone want.

Really good, modest, family-run hotel; spotlessly clean, good anti-Covid hygiene

A good night's stay. Warmly welcomed by the owner and served breakfast by her daughter; both have that wonderful combination of being highly professional yet friendly. Room/ensuite reasonable size, spotlessly clean. We asked for a quiet room and certainly had no problems. Very clear explanation of out-of-hours entry. Good range at breakfast, freshly cooked, nicely presented. Good idea to order in advance; no buffet and no waste. Complimentary mineral water and pillow-chocolate a nice touch.
