This family-run hotel is 500 metres from the Isar River, directly opposite Friesing’s historic town centre. Isar Hotel offers traditional country-style rooms. All rooms at Isar Hotel feature a TV and bathroom with shower.

Very good value for money
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Late check-in was also easily possible. We slept very well, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Decent price for an Average Hotel.
Check in was efficient and the staff was friendly. There is a seafood restaurant attached to the hotel which I didn't try (and it isn't open on Mondays). Location wise the Hotel was a bit further from the bahnhof that I thought. Took 15 to 20 minutes to walk. Cabs are available at the station. There are a few restaurants nearby but you really have to walk back (and forth) to the old town for the best options.
Breakfast was included in my stay (only ate once as I had to catch an early flight out from MUC on day 2 and left before the breakfast room opened). The food was ok, not great. No pretzels to my disappointment. Otherwise pretty typical fare for German hotels.
There were no English language TV stations. Wifi was available in the room though speed was dubious at best.
On the plus side, two nights here was nearly the same price as one night at the airport Hilton where I usually stay.

Convenient for a hotel stay near to Munich airport
Polite and courteous checkin reception staff
Very clean rooms and communal areas
Plenty of storage
Only a 15 minute drive to the airport, yet no noise of aircraft heard inside the hotel
Adjacent restaurant that can be accessed within the hotel reception area
What we didn't like:
The bathroom was rather small and the bathroom door stuck on the floor which made entering and exiting a challenge
There wasn't air conditioning, but a pedestal fan had been placed in the room.
The breakfast options were rather limited and we had concerns around the refrigeration of some of the chilled products like yogurts etc.
