Disappointing, flee this hotel!
A shame! This hotel is not an ibis. Usual guests of Ibis hotels in France and Europe (Budget, Ibis, Style), this one does not deserve its name! That's the worst. We paid 130 euros a night without breakfast. The bedding is worth NOTHING: pillows too thin, beds twinned with mattress pads that do not fit in place.
A dirty bathroom with a filthy shower tray like in low-end hotels. And I'm not telling you everything. As Accord members we are really disappointed.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
We booked a Dayuse stay from 09:00 until 15:00 on Sunday, 28 June 2026. We arrived shortly after 09:00 only to be told that our room wasn't ready.
Check-in became even more frustrating when reception insisted on charging us an additional 7.5% "tax." The amount we were asked to pay was higher than the confirmed booking price, and the document they showed us referred to overnight stays, even though we had booked only a Dayuse stay. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were simply told that none was available because it was Sunday. We were left with little choice but to pay.
Once we finally got into the room, we discovered that the air conditioning barely worked despite outside temperatures reaching around 38–40°C. In that kind of weather, an air-conditioned room isn't a luxury—it's a necessity.
The final hour of our stay was completely unacceptable. Although our confirmed booking clearly ended at 15:00, reception repeatedly phoned our room from around 14:00 insisting that we had to leave immediately because our booking supposedly ended at 14:00. Despite repeatedly telling them they had the wrong information, they refused to verify the booking themselves and instead demanded that we either come to reception with our confirmation or leave the room.
To make matters worse, housekeeping was sent to our room before our booking had ended. They refused to leave until I had to answer the door wearing only a towel because I had been in the bathroom and physically show them my booking confirmation. Even then, reception continued calling until I emailed them the confirmation myself.
No guest should be repeatedly harassed during a valid booking because staff cannot verify their own reservation system. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, refusal to involve a manager, and complete disregard for guest privacy were shocking.
I absolutely cannot recommend ibis Berlin Messe based on this experience and would not stay here again.

Unfortunately, it ruined our weekend!
We were really looking forward to a great Bruno Mars concert in Berlin, but our stay at the Ibis Messehotel completely ruined our mood.
The room itself is absolutely nothing special, but the worst part was that it could have definitely been much cleaner. However, the absolute nightmare was the broken air conditioning. It was almost 30 degrees in our room – sleeping or relaxing before or after the concert was simply out of the question at these temperatures.
When we wanted to clarify the problem, the reception was simply unreachable by phone. As a guest, one is completely left alone with the problem. An absolute no-go in terms of customer service.
Conclusion: A tiring stay without functioning cooling, lacking cleanliness, and without reachable service. Very disappointing and absolutely no recommendation!

Pros:
- the staff is wonderful, happy to help with any requests and very nice. Thank you!
- location: close to the fair centre, city centre, tube, restaurant...
- easy and free parking on the street
- the room has everything you need for a short stay
- WiFi works well
Cons:
- the room was not super clean (not horrible, but not perfect)
- soap dispenser empty both in the shower and next to the sink
- terrible sound insulation: you hear people in rooms above, below, both sides... I had a "quiet" room on the 4th floor, overlooking the back of the hotel, but my crazy neighbours shouted till 2 am,wouldn't open the door for me or the staff
