Cool place and a fun experience.
But, the pod had some damages (for example the built in charger was snapped and there was some yellow spots on the shelf).
The mattress was okay, but a bit hard for a sore back.
The place was overall very clean and the other guest were surprisingly quiet (you could hear a lot but people were respectful about it).
My only real issue - my boyfriend went outside to smoke and were trapped outside for at while. He would ring the doorbell to be let in, but the personel had left the frontdesk, so there was no one to open the door. I went down to get my boyfriend, but had to go up again and search for the staff.

Central but not quite what we imagined. No ac in the capsule, 29 Celsius in the pod when we went to sleep. The last night we had to sleep with the pod door open. The madress was so thin we could feel the plywood underneath us. The neighborhood Mitte is very central, but around the hostel it looked quite rough. Very central and you can easily walk to all the tourist spots. The toilets were also clean.

A cool concept with space capsules and with good lighting the hostel gave a unique experience. However the beds were hard and it was noisy in the morning. The charging socket was broken in our capsule.

Best for this price with some flaws

The atmosphere is great. The capsules are surprisingly comfortable. There are separate bathrooms and you can always find a free one. The location is ideal in the middle of the city, near a bus stop and several U-bahn stations. You won't get this much privacy and safety for this price anywhere else.
However, there are some annoying flaws. You can't charge your phone inside the capsule anymore since the USB socket has been replaced with fixed cables that have close to zero power output. In most of the bathrooms there are automatic taps that close very soon or don't even open, and you can't control the water temperature (in one bathroom it was burning hot).

for emergencies only

found a baby cockroach crawling when i left the shower. WC are poorly cleaned.
staff are very kind and helpful but the lights went off about 3 times when i was there, one of them being at 3:20am and the fire alarm went off waking everyone in the hostel up.
staying one night only? ok. more than that? absolutely not.
no privacy and you can overhear everything.
you have a locker to put your things on, and a luggage room that has cameras. the luggage room also has an ironing table (and an iron ofc).
they have 2 vending machines and 24h reception.
ppl around here were chill but the guys can be very annoying since some of them can be middle aged jerks.
no breakfast but theres a lidl thats very close.
the bathroom is shared and mixed, so if you’re not really imagining yourself entering a dirty bathroom where men and women do their business, you might not want to choose this hostel.
also, there’s nowhere to put your towels to dry so they let you grab as many as you need and whenever you need.
not the best but if you’re struggling to find a room anywhere else, this might be your way out.
