Great hotel for short stays.
We were very satisfied. Breakfast was good and plentiful; there was something for everyone. The coffee was also great. The best part was the scrambled eggs and the delicious bacon. Sometimes there was also quite fresh fruit. You could also eat outside. The air conditioning was great. What was a bit confusing: you could only get back upstairs with a hotel card (except via the stairs), because the elevator did not go up without a card. Thus, we always had to share the card for the room. It would have been good to have had two cards for both adults. There is no closet, which meant you could only hang a few things on the coat rack, but other laundry had to be taken out of the suitcase. A refrigerator (at least to rent for the stay) would have been good, so as not to always have to buy cold drinks from the lobby. But okay, we realize that not many hotels have that anymore. Saving energy costs and space. For a longer stay, a closet would be good. It is okay for short stays of up to 3 nights. Beds were very good and everything super clean. Everything you need was in the bathroom, including enough towels. Despite heavy traffic outside during rush hours, it was totally quiet in the room; you heard nothing from outside. So, great soundproofing. The style of the entire hotel is very good and fancy. Unfortunately, no playground available for children. But after we spent the days at Movie Park Bottrop, we were too tired and exhausted anyway for further activities outside.

Dennoch tut es uns leid, dass einige Details nicht ganz deinen Vorstellungen entsprachen. Dein Feedback zur Raumpraktikabilität nehmen wir ernst, unsere kompakte Ausstattung zielt auf Nachhaltigkeit ab, verstehen aber, dass dies nicht immer allen Bedürfnissen entspricht.

Pizza, good service, and a cool stay at the Moxy Bochum
My stay at the Moxy Bochum was a complete success. The hotel impresses with its modern style, a relaxed atmosphere, and very well-maintained premises. The team was super friendly, and as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum guest, I felt especially welcome.
The pizza in the evening was definitely a highlight and a great addition to the stay. Overall, a modern hotel with great service where I will gladly stay again.

FOOD not standard
After a long journey, I was looking forward to pizza with chicken. A very, very dry pizza arrived for over 15 euros, the chicken was totally dry, cheese barely findable, and a strange sauce. In response to a well-meaning complaint, I only received: "You probably don't want a new one, and one must ask, and we will show it to the kitchen" oh dear, I can certainly distinguish between good and bad pizza, and that was bad. This can be done better, including the reaction to it.

City Hotel in Bochum
One night at Moxy Bochum, and the hotel left a good impression. I really like the concept of Moxy: modern, uncomplicated, and with a lively atmosphere that pleasantly differs from an ordinary chain hotel. The location right by the stadium ring, near the Ruhrstadion and Starlight Express, is ideal.
The bar and communal areas have character, and the room was clean and functionally furnished. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Anyone looking for a night in Bochum who does not want to miss out on a well-thought-out hotel concept will find Moxy to be a great choice.

An absolute insider tip for Bochum that is probably no longer a secret.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to stay overnight in Bochum. We felt very comfortable. Wonderful reception (front desk, not mobile but that was wonderful too), very nice, down-to-earth staff. Great food (pizza, pasta, it doesn't matter, you can't go wrong).
For me, top location. You are equally close to wherever you want or need to go. Of course, also starlight and stadium. But also downtown.
The room and bathroom are clean. I really like the Moxy concept. People: come to Bochum. The city is worth it and deserves it.
