Great location and value for money completely adequate

I chose this hotel because of its location. I was traveling alone and wanted a place as close to the station as possible. In fact it is just a 5 minute walk away. Check in fast and courteous and in 5 minutes I was in the room. Beautiful view especially at night on the cathedral. Room functional and equipped with everything you need. Only problem a bit too hot by my standards and I slept with the vasistas window ajar. Apart from the sound of the bells it is silent. The elevator is contrary to what has been written in other reviews, and free WiFi throughout the property. I didn't turn the TV on. Breakfast is perhaps the most critical point if you are used to sweet. But if you love a savoury breakfast with at least yogurt bread and jam it's fine. Perfect for me. American coffee available, express in the machine for a fee. Secured luggage free of charge after check out on the last day. Value for money however great. Would stay again

1. Faucet was leaking and I asked for someone to fix it but nobody fixed it. 2. No hot water first day with temperatures near freezing not ideal! No apologies from staff and no compensation whatsoever

Good value for money and location

Excellent value for money. Free coffee and tea. Comfortable bed. Good service from Berk. Very good location to visit all the xmas markets.

The a&o in Cologne am Dom is well located to reach many things on foot

The hostel have booked for the extended weekend incl. breakfast,the location is really ideal.It is not far from the cathedral,the train station or even to the shopping malls it is located.
The room was a bit smaller as shown in the photos, ours was on the 2nd floor out to the street, although the noise of the night was not great.
The breakfast was fine and also the check in was uncomplicated,that went online and so we already knew which room we had.
If you are looking for good and cheap accommodation you have certainly a good choice, but price comparisons should take place.

The hotel was difficult to find the first time but once found it was very convenient to restaurants, shops and attractions.
