It's great!

We were greeted very friendly! The rooms were very clean and the location was ideal (right next to Cologne Deutz train station). The breakfast is delicious and varied. The youth hostel Cologne Deutz is definitely highly recommended!:)

If you hate your students, this is your paradise

Brother, to be honest... Existing here as a student is basically more of a torture than a relaxation. (You look forward to the teachers' program so you don't have to exist in this building as much.) First of all, there is no soap, who remembers to pack it?! The fact that there are no towels is on the website and is understandable in principle, but after what the bed linen looks like, I don't even want to know what the rentable towels are.
There are unidentifiable hairs and stains in the beds, as well as the occasional dead insect.
When the last time the dust was wiped is also a mystery.
If you hate your students, this is the perfect place for a school trip!

If you like edible food and hand soap, this isn’t the place for you.

Went here for a school trip and it was not enjoyable. The food most nights (except one) was inedible and the bedding was almost starchy if that’s the correct word. They don’t provide towels or even hand soap. There is a small shop in the lobby that only accepts cash. Key wouldn’t work and I wouldn’t go back unless you paid me.
