Beautiful hotel. Nice location, spacious room with nice balcony overlooking the river. The staff was very helpful. There is a good selection of drinks available in a self-serve fridge. The breakfast was excellent.
The only disappointment was dinner. There didn't seem to be any good restaurant options nearby (both places had poor reviews) and the hotel itself only had a small selection of choices on their Imbiss menu. We had turkey schnitzel with fries and some cake for dessert and it was okay, but we had been hoping for a better dinner option.

From emergency solution to winner!

Friends meet obstacles in Forbach. The hotel where the friends stayed refused to let us a room for one night. In the Waldhaus we were welcome. A hotel with exceptionally friendly owners and staff. You can see the love for small details everywhere. Breakfast was pleasantly out of line. Spreads you never get otherwise. In the room there were no surprises, everything was tasteful standard. There were obviously a lot of hikers in the hotel who chose this hotel.
We would always come back!

Very good overnight stay at the old wooden bridge in Forbach

The formerly rustic house has been modernized with great attention to detail. The result is a successful mixture with modern elements in which we felt comfortable. In particular, the bathrooms were of the most modern standard. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and varied. The Service was very friendly and accommodating.
The lockable bicycle parking provided good charging facilities for EBikes.
The house offers cafe operation until 7 pm. The icing on the cake was the terrace directly on the Murg overlooking the historic wooden bridge.
