A lovingly managed hotel in the heart of the city.

A truly wonderful and lovingly managed hotel in the heart of Freiburg. The breakfast is very good and the entire ambiance is simply very pleasant.

Awful

I booked this hotel at around 7:30 pm and received a confirmation email explaining that I would need to call on arrival to obtain the PIN for the key box. I arrived at approximately 8:45 pm and followed those instructions.
When I called, the owner shouted at me for waking him up. Despite the fact that my booking had already been confirmed and paid for, he then told us to leave. After an unpleasant conversation, he eventually agreed to let us stay and gave us the PIN code. It was a very stressful and unnecessary start to our stay.
The building itself has plenty of character and could be very attractive, but it is in need of some care and maintenance. On a positive note, the breakfast was good and enjoyable.
Unfortunately, no matter how nice the building or breakfast may be, the way we were treated was completely unacceptable. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, and this experience was the exact opposite. I would not choose to stay here again.

The Hotel Minerva has a good and quiet location and was ideal for our city tour in Freiburg. We could reach everything easily on foot.

The Hotel Minerva exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed. Parking in the nearby underground garage was well organized. The hotel has a pleasant size, and its good yet quiet location was ideal for our city tour in Freiburg. We could reach everything easily on foot. Our room was stylishly designed and had a nice balcony. From check-in to departure, we felt comfortable! The small team was attentive and friendly! The breakfast buffet met all our wishes. If we come back to Freiburg, the Hotel Minerva will be our fixed residence. Rosi and Richard

Lovely stay in Freiburg

Our stay in Minerva hotel went very well, it has a cosy romantic atmosphere, kids enjoyed toy corner and we apprecciated a lot gluten free breakfast options!
