Super house in a super location.

Very nicely situated hotel in the countryside, not too big, right by the sights, good parking facilities, very nice large rooms with elegant furnishings, large bathroom, very nice bright dining room, large outdoor area with nice seating, very good cuisine with very tasty food. Disadvantage: the shower floors are extremely slippery and very prone to accidents!! In the shower, there is no storage space (for soap, etc.), the toilets are very low, very difficult for old people, and there are no grab bars to help you pull yourself up. If you have a room facing the terrace, it is very loud for a long time at night on warm days, as you cannot close the room windows because there is no air conditioning. Despite everything, highly recommended!

Visiting Gotha, Erfurt and Eisenach

We stayed here for 4 nights and would thoroughly recommend it.
The reception staff were both welcoming and organised.
Our room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Both breakfast and dinner (we ate there on two evenings) at the hotel were excellent. The restaurant was well staffed; everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was good to see just how hands-on the senior management team were in what is a family run hotel. To their credit, the whole establishment ran very smoothly indeed. The hotel is perfectly located at the end of parkland next to the Schloss (itself well worth visiting) with extensive free, safe public car parking directly opposite the main entrance. There is apparently also private parking on site if required at busier times of the year. Within easy walking distance is the quiet town with restaurants and, in the other direction, the railway station from where it is less than 30 minutes to Eisenach and Erfurt. In short, the perfect place to stay when visiting this area: I would recommend it without hesitation or reservation and would like to thank all the staff for looking after us so well.

Relaxing getaway in the Advent season

Excellent hotel, very well equipped, delicious food, friendly staff.
Nice Christmas market in the old town, everything your heart desires.

A four stars hotel with a five stars service!

Very well located hotel ideal for those who want to be in a place without noise or confusion, but very close to the historic center.
Reception staff, cleaning and restaurant, very friendly and competent. Spacious suite, well decorated and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast, but the best of all was dinner, with exceptional confectionery quality!

Highly recommended!

Central location, great team, perfect service from check-in to wellness area, small but important (and certainly not everywhere self-evident) details such as free bottles of mineral water, longer shoestrings and nail file in the bathroom are the hallmarks of the family-run hotel. In addition, there is a wonderfully experimental kitchen crew, the good wine list and a relaxed atmosphere even when busy.
