Good value!

A rather unprepossessing exterior. Car parking directly outside the front door and an efficient out-of-hours key delivery system (PinCode in a machine and keys drop out of the bottom!). Modern, clean room - soft, comfortable beds. Rooms not huge - but okay for 2! Fridge included helped as over the road is the Kaufland small shopping centre (not open Sunday) . Here there is an excellent café with pastries and coffee for breakfast, and a large supermarket for everything else!
The hotel/guesthouse is ideally placed within a few minutes walk of the Tram system (Nos 23 & 24 serve the stop) it is only about 10 minutes into the City Centre (Bismarckplatz) next to the river. Easy walk from there to Old Town and all the sights.
Owner is extremely friendly and has much information to share

Works well to sleep

It works ... near to this commercial centre, free parking space with no problems, and easy to take out cache money, to buy something to eat, to eat something.
Just a number of rooms, no place for breakfast. Rooms are quite big, clean, during the night no noise problems, since there are not so many cars passing by.
If you want a relativley cheap stay in this beautiful city, this is a good place.
You can't walk to the center of course, you need the car or public transport.

Convenient for a budget stay in Heidelberg.

A bit strange being next to a hypermarket with lots of businesses around, but it works. The area feels safe. Parking is easy when workers have gone home, so it is probably better to use the self check-in system. Rooms are reasonably furnished, having fridge, tea and coffee facilities, a couple of additional chairs and a coffee table. Breakfast is not available, but you can easily do your own with the hypermarket a one minute walk away. Plenty of places to eat in the commercial centre, but they finish serving at 8.00pm. The receptionist is most pleasant and helpful.
Getting into Heldelberg is easy. Five minute walk to the tram - number 23 gets you to the old town in fifteen minutes.

Unusually situated

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. It is unusually situated outside Heidelberg among malls and company buildings. A ground floor building with 6 rooms offering a good night sleep. It is clean, easy to find. Parking for us it was easy (small car) but it is not so easy during day time because to many people are going there either to work or to have fun. Room offers a mini fridge,a large closet, a TV set and a large bathroom with a cabin. Internet connection is hard to find and slow. Because all of the rooms are on the ground floor there is some noise after 08:00. Well priced (less than 60€ a night). Heidelberg is 5 km away and easily accessible by tram or bus which stops 3 min away. The owner is a happy person who gave us all the necessary infos for the first day.

A Little Gem idealy situated for touring

I and three biker pals have returned from a biking trip which started in Italy and travelled a total of 1200 miles (one way home, as we shipped our bikes out to Italy by Road haulage).
We arrived at Hotel DenRiko with a little trepidation as I felt the cheap prices (55Euro per room – ROOM ONLY) may reflect in the quality and briefed my pals accordingly.
To our surprise (especially me) we found the hotel to be very, very nice indeed. There was ample parking at the front of the hotel. It is situation on a bit of an industrial/shopping park on the outskirts of Heidelberg (a short 16 Euro taxi drive into the city and there is also a tram stop nearby)
All rooms are ground floor and the rooms were very well equipped with twin beds and lovely en suite – Even a refrigerator stocked with beer and soft drinks (Beer – good quality German beer @ 2 Euro for a 500 ml bottle).
We were greeted by the owner who explained that he would be gone after 4pm and be back in the morning at 8am. For people arriving late there is a self-check in system that is quite clever!
All in all we all rated our experience as excellent (in spite of there being no food facility at the hotel – mit is purely a room only motel type hotel)
Again a place I would revisit – especially biker friendly!!
Well done Hotel DenRiko :) 
