All in good hands, class!
Just feel good!
Especially for this short holiday on Juist we have specifically chosen the Deichhotel Rose. Really great rooms, very good location on the dike, within walking distance to everything and an incredibly good restaurant! From the small but fine breakfast buffet (here the focus is on regional small delicacies that are added again and again. This counteracts the waste of food. Great!) you can only rave. Selected tea and coffee specialities. So you get off to a great start in the island day. Especially commendable is the always attentive staff who are also equipped with a portion of humor! Wonderful table conversations have ensued here. This also makes you want more. The interior of the hotel is very nice and tastefully decorated from the rooms to the restaurant. Only the small “corner” at the entrance to the upper floors still seems a little inappropriate. Perhaps you can cover the view of blankets, pillows and vacuum cleaners through room dividers etc. But this is just a tip and truly no reason to complain. Otherwise, we were completely satisfied and would like to mention and also encourage imitators to refrain from cleaning (at least for short stays). You will receive a voucher per person/day for a free drink which you can redeem at the bar. This will make your holiday a little more sustainable! We will definitely stop there again because Juist is not to be explored in three days. This island simply offers too much for that!

Lots of money for little performance
The staff made it look like you were annoying. The rooms are small but pretty. With small fridge and kettle. However, the bed is built only 1.60 meters and one a niche. Next to the bed you have about 30 cm space on each side for running. The associated "balcony" is about 40 cm wide and 80 cm long. The bathroom is pretty and like the room in white, gray and turquoise. The shower is barrier-free and without a door. After showering, the entire bathroom is under water. Overall, the hotel is very noisy. Breakfast is good. Normal, nothing out of the ordinary. The food in the restaurant is rather bad. A small stuffed pepper with 3 shredded frozen peas and flavorless rice cost €12.50 in December 2018. A mini schnitzel from the deep fryer and a handful of fries 15,90€. For 4 nights we paid 590 € plus tourist tax. Half the price would be reasonable, because at just under 150 € a night you don't do enough here.

Perfect!
Very friendly and warm staff, as is the boss. The room is small but nice. The food is also very tasty. So I have no reason to complain and would be happy to come back. For me it was a relaxing holiday and a lovely time at the Deichhotel Rose.

Very solid food, nice ambience and friendly staff
The menu is absolutely sufficient. Starting with a greeting from the kitchen, the ordered dishes arrived without much delay. Overall, the offering can be classified as solid. The ambience was modern, bright and friendly. References in previous reviews to “unfinished” space are no longer accurate.

Leider enttäuscht
Ostern auf Juist. Diesmal haben wir das Deichhotel Rose für unseren Aufenthalt ausgewählt. Das Hotel liegt am Rande des Hauptdorfes neben dem Inselbäcker. Wir haben das Hotel kurz nach seiner Eröffnung vor ca. 3 Jahren schon einmal besucht. Damals sagte man uns, dass man mit dem Bau noch nicht ganz fertig wäre, so dass die Rezeption im Frühstücksraum / Speisesaal untergebracht sei. Dies hat sich bis heute nicht geändert, was die Atmosphäre im Speisesaal nicht gerade gemütlich macht und unaufgeräumt wirkt. Bei der Anreise war auch zunächst gar kein Personal da. Nach mehrmaligem Rufen hat uns der Hausmeister erhört und eine Angestellte angerufen, die dann ganz abgehetzt mit dem Rad ankam. Grundsätzlich scheint das Personal im Haus extrem überfordert zu sein - von Freundlichkeit und Sprachbarrieren reden wir hier nicht. Schade, dass die Eigentümer nicht einmal vor Ort waren und dem Gast das Gefühl des Willkommens suggeriert haben. Aber es scheint so, dass hier nicht viel Wert und Liebe auf das Detail gelegt wird. Es gab auch weder ein gefärbtes Osterei noch einen Schokohasen für die Gäste. Noch folgende Anmerkungen zum Frühstück: der Fleisch- und Eiersalat stand von 8h-11h ungekühlt auf dem Frühstücksbuffet, welches als recht übersichtlich bezeichnet werden kann.
Die Zimmer, die man durch sehr steile Treppen erreicht, sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und in einem ordentlichen Zustand und wurden regelmäßig gereinigt. Allerdings musste an den Wechsel der auf dem Zimmer befindlichen Kaffeetassen und auffüllen des löslichen Kaffees (Wasserkocher, Tee, löslicher Kaffee auf dem Zummer) erinnert werden. Ein Entschuldig seitens des Personals erfolgte hier nicht. In der Dusche finden sich leichte Schimmelspuren in den Ecken.
Was super ist, ist der Blick vom Balkon, da man eine unverbaute Sicht genießt.
