Very good pension
We had a wonderful stay here. Breakfast is very good rooms are not very big but good enough. The location is quite pleasant. They serve breakfast at the table but it has all you need including fresh eggs they also have gluten free breads. It is dog friendly and the staff is very friendly too. I can recommend staying here it is very nice.

An adequate room and free railway noise
Weinhaus Thomas is a hotel located in Klotten between the B49 road and the Koblenz-Trier railway line. The family owned and operated hotel is adequately furnished and decorated, well maintained, non-smoking. Staffs are helpful and friendly.
The hotel offers 20 rooms. In from of the door is a ferry for cyclists and walkers. There is a restaurant with a modest card and a nice terrace with a Biergarten viewing the road and the river. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet and free parking next door.
Our practical room was adequately decorated and furnished, with an OK double bed. The room had a table & chair, TV and wardrobe. We had a separate small bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower cubicle. All was very clean.
Windows can be opened but have no mosquito screens. Opening the window is not advisable. The Kanonenbahn railway just behind the hotel is busy. With the window open the freight trains definitely will keep you awake all night.
The breakfast is very good with ample variety. We recommend Weinhaus Thomas to anyone who seeks a night’s sleep in friendly establishment next to a busy railroad.

Very good place and service but noisy due to railroad
Typical German Mosel hotel with very friendly owner and personnel, great breakfast, tidy room and shower. At 50 metres their is an place to get on board the boat to Beilstein for €17 per person a return ticket. Beilstein is a touristically village with man asters, castle and lots of restaurants. Boat is leaving at 11:15 and back at 17:00.
However the distance to the railroad is 15 metres and on the same level as the room. It will wake you up every time a train passes by during the night. In our case we were more tired waking up then we went to bed....Not possible to have a dinner, besides some small snack like "Flammenkuche" sort pizza or soup.
Restaurants in the neighbourhood are declining due to lack of staff and older management. In a nutshell, nice for a view days, bud outdated and wonder if the village will survive the coming years.

relaxing place opposite the river
We stayed at this hotel for one night en route through Germany to Zebrugge. The hotel was the only place open in the whole town! The owners speak almost no English.
The food, evening meal was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent.
The room for three was very comfortable and offered everything we needed. The down side is that there is a train line directly behind the hotel and freight runs through here all night!!!Klotten itself was very quiet and nowhere else was open.

Gastvrij, schoon en in rustig dorp gelegen hotel met heerlijke wijnen.
Het derde deel van onze wijnreis door Frankrjjk en Duitsland eindige aan de Moezel bij Weinhaus Thomas.
Wat een fijn verblijf was dat. Eenvoudige en zeer schone kamer. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt en vooral heel fijn vriendelijk en attente eigenaren en personeel.
De ligging pal naast de spoorlijn is bijzonder. In de nacht wel veel goederentreinen.
Mooie wijnen kunnen proeven en ook wat doosjes mee naar huis genomen. Bij de buren zijn fietsen te huren voor weinig
