charming

Top location decentralized, but with best public transport connection.
Measured by location on road and railway tracks quite quiet at night. Romantic wooden creaking as soon as you climb the stairs to this two-storey gem with an interesting atmospheric connection between the past and the modern era. Very clean and not antiquated at all e.g. with regard to TV and small indoor bathroom with extremely efficient air vent, good bed, modern environment-adequate room service concept.
Great breakfast (especially. Selection of rolls, spicy cucumber and fresh fruit salad, creamy yogurts, loving details such as olives for egg dishes, very good tea) and personal Service (redelivered egg, pragmatic, very customer-friendly, trustworthy option for luggage storage and corresponding pick-up outside d. Reception time, equally human-friendly, not too profit-oriented thirst quenching possibility by self-service beer refrigerator available)
Only a few more hooks in the room as well as further (favorite credit card) payment option as a suggestion for improvement and more considerate fellow guests who do not perform exclamations outside the room door than desired.

Good location but little comfort.

We booked the hotel through HRS deals.
First night we were given a single room with a 1.40 m wide bed as standard double room.
But then exchanged this the next morning. Then get a room facing the street (most of the rooms face the street); here we had two single beds, which were placed next to each other and unfortunately were also much too short.
Apart from the mattress, which is way too hard for me, and the extreme creaking with every movement.
There is no elevator and only very narrow stairs.
Breakfast was good.
The location is great; 10 min walk to the Battle of Nations monument. S-Bahn and tram virtually right outside the door.

At the Battle of Nations Monument

Do you like creaking floorboards and steep wooden stairs? Then you are in the right place at Jahrhunderthotel Leipzig, very close to the Battle of Nations Monument. The house exudes the charm of the good old days. Unfortunately, this also includes a very narrow shower cubicle. The last free parking space at the house was mine. Lucky for you. The restaurant and breakfast buffet I could not use due to time constraints and therefore not rate.

The staff struggled with English, but we managed. Everyone was friendly and patient.
Otherwise, very good value, nice facilities and an authentic German hotel. Also, very close to several attractions and public transport connections.

This is not a hotel, this is an apartment for airbnb. We were at 52 apto, 5th floor, and there isn't elevator. We are traveling with a lot of lugague and we had to take it all stairs up and stairs down. There isn't front desk. We request to clean up our room, but nobody do it along our stay. It was a really bad experience. I was looking for a hotel with all services associated, not for an airbnb in Expedia. I am making a claim for this stay.
