The man working at the check in was really lovely and helpful and even printed me papers, that i forgot to do at home, within seconds. Thank you very much ;)

Great stay, had everything we needed for our short trip, very comfortable and well located for getting around Mainz. Would stay here again!

more personal reception would be pleasant

I was sorry that there was only a digital check in. for a second door card there had to be an intervention from an employee. I find a personal welcome much more pleasant. I also found the mattress much too soft. breakfast was fine although I note that the typical German raw ham is gone. is this to reduce the cost that cheaper meats are offered. about friendliness of staff one can not say much, we have barely seen 3

There is no air conditioning in the hotel, and it was very hot in July. They gave us an electric fan to use. In the past, InterCity hotels have included a tram /bus pass, but they don't do this any more. That's one reason we stayed here and also that it is close to the train station.

Convenient for public transport

We had a 4 nights stay in this hotel in a business twin on floor 7.
No nice views but it was convenient for getting the bus or tram nearly at the door.
Air con. worked well as did the fridge.
We didn’t want our room serviced. If you do, you must put in a request before 10am.
I asked reception for more towels and they were delivered later that day.
Breakfast was good and items replenished regularly.
Reception staff were nice.
The not so good things about this hotel :
The pillows actually stink! As do the quilts!
It’s time they were replaced.
The beds are very low and not so great either - time to replace.
The towels are useless - far too small and well worn.
Check in took far too long. I just wanted to go to my room, but the process took ages.
Why can’t they do online check in so we don’t have to fill in all the details at a temporary reception table
