Romantic ambience

Romantic ambience in a stylishly renovated half-timbered house. Very nice staff, great breakfast and also the restaurant I can recommend. We'll be back!

Value for money poor

Have booked a double room for 3 days without breakfast because we visited friends nearby. Price 125 euros / day. We were assigned room 7. Room size was ok. Unfortunately, the bathroom is hardly usable because extremely small. Have addressed the problem at the reception and received the unkind reply: “Should I demolish the house now?”
Parking spaces are limited in public spaces because the hotel does not have its own parking spaces. Also, there were no water glasses in the room.

Horrible place, rude owner

A horrible place! Not as advertised. I immediately left for another hotel.
I came back the next day to ask for a refund of the remaining days, and to retun the keys, and was refused!! Owner yelled at me. Very surprised at the poor quality and creepy customer service.
Details below.
The receptionist agreed to refund me the remaining days and said she would get her dad. He came and started yelling at me within 2 inches of my face. I told him to back up and finally had to walk away because he wouldn't stop arguing.
The apartment I rented for 7 days required a payment up front. It was a 4 block walk, rolling my suitcase, then carrying it up a narrow curved staircase. There are notrees, outdoor seating, or amenities. It is bare bones more like a hostel.
The main hotel is dark, dingy, and looks very creepy.
I immediately left for another hotel and am very happy there.

Pleasant stay

We spent a night at the hotel. The room was clean, the reception very friendly. For us, everything fit so far. I can't say anything about breakfast, because we didn't have any.

Very disappointing

We had slept very well in a clean and very quiet room and had previously been warmly received. From here you are quickly in the Mannheim city and on the highway.
Breakfast was a big disappointment. By the time agreed with the reception, practically everything had already been eaten up. Buns were fetched from the baker's, the rest not replenished. The buffet was devastated with cereal ingredients, milk was offered in an open pot, vegetables without spit protection ... a completely overpaid hygiene disaster and effective negative advertising.
