An indoor swimming pool, spa and fantastic Alpine views are offered by this luxurious 4-star superior hotel. Hotel Exquisit is located in the southern outskirts of Oberstdorf in the Allgaü region of Swabia.

Highly recommended
The hotel is fully in line with the 4-star superior category and is fully recommended. It is nice and quiet on the outskirts with a wonderful view of the mountains; a room with mountain views is therefore highly recommended. Due to the location, I would even prefer the hotel to the 5-star Hotel Franks. Particularly noteworthy are the attentive and courteous staff and the cleanliness in all areas. I would come back anytime. The hotel is also very suitable for solo travelers.
I limit myself to a few hints or minor criticisms below:
Rooms:
The room lacks a Nespresso machine. This is apparently only available in the suites at the moment, but in my view should be provided in every room category. Who doesn't like to have a coffee on the balcony with mountain views before breakfast? A Fire TV stick can be easily connected.
Breakfast:
At breakfast there are two points to mention: The classic rolls did not look like fresh baked rolls, but rather like baked goods. In addition, the coffee was quite thin and not very aromatic.
Dinner:
In advance: I regularly go to star and upscale restaurants. Since the chef Frank Aldinger is awarded a Michelin star and previously worked in the Sonnenalp, I had certain expectations accordingly. Of course, I don't expect a star level with a booked half board, but a craftsmanlike, creative and harmoniously prepared dinner.
Under this premise, I would rate the dinner overall with about 9/10 points, this rating referring to the starters (without soup) as well as the main courses. The appetizer buffet (salad and antipasti) changed only twice during my stay and was overall rather classic, but without any particular accents. I think that this concept could be reconsidered as a whole.
The kitchen is designed as a modern fusion kitchen with mainly Asian influences, complemented by isolated Bavarian accents. However, if you expect classic Bavarian main courses such as roast pork or knuckle, you won’t find it here.
On three nights I had an assigned table by the window. From the fourth evening, however, I was placed in the “second row” as a solo traveler; the window table was awarded to a couple. Although the new table still offered a nice view of the mountains, the change seemed a bit inappropriate.
Spa:
The spa area is completely adequate overall. However, a heated outdoor pool is missing.
Other information:
Underground parking is available. The Wi-Fi could be a little faster. Bicycles can be safely parked and loaded in the underground car park.

An all-round successful stay in Oberstdorf
The hotel convinces all along the line: The location is ideal for a hiking holiday in the Allgäu Alps, and the included mountain railway pass is a real highlight – so you can easily get to the most beautiful starting points for tours with fantastic views.
Particularly noteworthy is the warm atmosphere: Dogs are also welcome here, which made the stay perfect for us. The entire team is attentive and makes you feel immediately at ease.
Culinary options also leave nothing to be desired – the food is high-quality, varied and prepared with great love. Whether breakfast or dinner, everything tasted great.
A stylish hotel that perfectly combines relaxation, enjoyment and nature. We would definitely come back!

Brilliant boutique hotel!
A truly exceptional boutique hotel with super clean rooms where you feel immediately at ease. The wellness area is just the right size – not too big, not too small – perfect for relaxing.
The food can’t really be described because it’s just so awesome and special – you have to have experienced it yourself!
A very special thanks goes to Johan: He knew an answer to really everything and has made our stay with his competence and kindness even more beautiful.

The name is program
It is striven for in all perfection down to the smallest detail and almost everywhere achieved. Absolutely recommended if you like a quiet and discreet atmosphere and can do without internationality or even want to.
