Quiet and good hotel in a rural area

For a long weekend in East Groningen, we thought it would be nice to spend the night in Germany, where the rooms are usually a bit cheaper. In the town of Papenburg we found a nice hotel for a good price, with breakfast included. The hotel, which is not striking in appearance, is located on the edge of Papenburg, within walking distance of the city center. It was not busy during the carnival weekend and we enjoyed a quiet visit without any disturbance from other visitors. The reception is located in the dining room and you will be helped by friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and varied. The rooms are spacious and clean, with in our case a beautiful view of the expanse of meadows. Because it was warm in the room and no thermostat was visible, we left the windows open at night. The beds are comfortable and clean. If you go out in the evening, you must let us know what time you will return, because the front door will be locked after a certain time.

Super freundlich und sehr aufmerksamer Service...Zimmer sind sauber und sehr funktionell...Rundherum spitze....Frûhstûcksbûffet und Abend Essen sehr lecker....nach dem Frûhstûck hatte man genûgend Zeit zum Auschecken,da man erst um 11h das Zimmer verlassen muss.

Leckeres Schnitzel, einfaches sauberes Zimmer, Frühstück okay! Ich habe das Hotel für eine Nacht genutzt und dafür war es in Ordnung. Die Corona Regeln wurden total gut eingehalten. Alles war sauber.
Ich hatte ein Schnitzel am Abend gegessen mit frischen Champignons. Das war echt lecker.
Einziger Wermutstropfen, ich hatte mir Erdbeeren mit an meinen Frühstückstisch genommen, die ich Tags zuvor gekauft hatte, da ich zu meinem Müsli immer gerne frisches Obst esse!
Das wurde mit einem Kommentar versehen, dass das nicht erlaubt sei.
Warum? Ich saß mutterseelenallein in einem großen Wintergarten. Und wen oder was hätten meine Erdbeeren kontaminieren können? Oft nehme ich mir Chiasamen oder sonstige Cerealien mit zum Frühstückstisch, da es diese oftmals nicht gibt.
Das hat mich schon sehr geärgert.
Ansonsten war die Kommunikation höflich und diese Situation unnötig wie ein Kropf.
