Very nice place to stay in Görlitz!
I stayed only for one night at Pension Alba and overall I had a very nice and pleasant experience staying there. When I arrived a very friendly lady helped me with the check-in and she explained to me in a very detailed way how the key system work, the check-out time, etc (although she didn't speak English, we managed to understand each other).
I stayed in one of the double bedrooms. It was very spacious, very clean, the WiFi worked well, and with all the basic things you would expect from a Pension-type room.
Also, the location of Pension Alba is great: very close to the train station (Bahnhof Görlitz), very close to nice places to have breakfast (like the Cafe Central), very close to the city center (also, Görlitz is quite a small and walkable town) and you have shops and some supermarkets nearby in case you need something urgent (like shampoo, which they don't provide at Pension Alba).
Overall, this is a very nice place to stay, and If I return to Görlitz someday, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Family Fun in Görlitz
I stayed here on a weekend trip with my wife and baby daughter. I would definitely recommend this place for families or really for anyone. However, the stay wasn't perfect. Here are the pros and cons:
Pros:
Price/Space/Location: for what you pay you get a huge space in a very good location. You can be in the heart of Görlitz in a few minutes walk, but there are also a few nice places around within a block or two of the apartments including Cafe Central, which opens at 7:30 (great for breakfast when you have kids that wake up early).
Nice Room: The room was comfortable with a good layout - bathroom in the middle of the master bedroom and the living area. The couch folded out into a very comfortable bed.
Check in/Out: Check in and out was very easy, quick, and simple. There was plenty of street parking to use temporarily until we got the access to the huge and secure parking garage right behind he apartment.
Cons:
The floor plan on the web site shows a small balcony for the apartment we rented, but because ours was on the top floor, it didn't have a balcony, only a couple small windows.
Our room was on the fourth floor, at that top of 76 steps. Not a huge deal for us since we're young and travel light, but it could be a problem if you have more kids/stuff than you can carry. We were on the highest of the floors.
No soap or shampoo is provided. Not a huge deal to bring it along, but we didn't expect it and so didn't have any. Of course we didn't figure it out until after everything was closed on Saturday and for the full day on Sunday.
Over all I would strong recommend this place, just make sure you plan ahead for those little problems.

Perfect base to explore
Wonderful fully-equipped apartments perfect for a family. Our party included three adults, a baby and a dog and this option suited perfectly our needs. Beware there is no 24-hours desk room and you are much on your own after check-in (paid in full and in cash beforehand).

Das schön sanierte Altstadthaus
und die Lage am Rande der Altstadt haben uns sehr überzeugt.
Das Treppenhaus ist recht breit und daher ist es kein Problem die Koffer nach oben zu tragen. Die Zimmer sind sauber, hell und freundlich und trotz Straßenseite in der Nacht ruhig.
Das Beste aber ist, der durch zwei Tore gesicherte großzügige Parkplatz im Hof.
Gerne wieder....

Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis
Das Zimmer und das Bad war einfach ausgestattet, aber sehr sauber. Praktisch ist der große, sichere Parkplatz im Hof. Am Abreisetag konnten wir das Auto dort auch nach dem Auschecken noch stehen lassen. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb der sehenswerten Altstadt, man läuft circa 10 Minuten bis auf den Hauptplatz.
