Practical and affordable

Nice hotel with no frills. Room small, cozy, bathroom tiny but adequate. Very clean and tidy, reception uncomplicated and friendly. Unfortunately no shampoo/shower gel in the shower.
Due to the location on a major thoroughfare, traffic can be heard, aircraft noise (airport nearby) can be heard until around 10 p.m. In the area there are several snack bars, a supermarket and public transport (bus 160) a few minutes' walk away.
The offer price is very reasonable, good value for money.

Nice, even if disabled access is not easy

The Art Hotel enjoys a strategic location on the Rhine and a 10-minute walk from the Old Town of Köln; aesthetically attractive inside, spacious and clean rooms, washbasin in the room (small bathroom or stylistic choice?).
Breakfast average, not particularly cared for to my taste for a 4 star.

Good hotel with great breakfast

Good hotel with nice big king size bed and big rooms with a nice view over the river. Big towels ❤️
Nice fresh breakfast buffet with a lot of choices.
Close to the sights and by the river. Clean rooms. Parking under the hotel.

Had to pay to park elswhere.
Waiting staff forgetfull and not terribly helpful.
Breakfast was ok. Only ruined completely by an army of staff clattering trollies and being overzealous clearing up the breakfast buffet ahead of time. This ruining the ambience and making us feel rushed to leave.
I was very annoyed and not given the opportunity to discuss with staff.
Rooms are tired and no one seems to care about the customer.
We travel a lot and stayed here a few years back and had two rooms. It has gone downhill now and not worth the money

Great for airport

On reading the reviews here, I think that there must be two Art Hotels around Cologne. I stayed at this one with the address above. It is a ten minute taxi ride to the airport so nowhere near the city centre!
So, it is basic, a bit tired but very clean and the beds were comfortable. Good powerful shower! There is no staff on 24/7 but we were given a key to get back into the hotel by the guy on reception who also ordered our taxi to arrive at 0500. There are a good selection of restaurants in the opposite side of the road, we ate in an Italian about 150 meters away and it was brilliant.
This though is an AIRPORT hotel! There are better choices for visiting the city but if you have an early morning flight, this is the place to stay.
