Excellent hotel near to the train station and with excellent view of the Wolfsburg Autostad

Breakfast with ants.
The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the Wolfsburg train station, just across the crosswalk, and you are at the hotel. The location to the Autostadt is also very good, about a 5-minute walk and you are in the Autostadt.
The check-in process was smooth and quick, although the lady at the reception did not present herself with an extra portion of friendliness. The room was as described on the homepage, well-equipped, and clean.
Unfortunately, the room temperature was too high and could not be effectively lowered by the air conditioning; additionally, the bed covers were far too thick. The result was poor sleep.
I almost cut my lips on a damaged glass from the minibar! I cannot understand why such a glass is not sorted out.
We booked the hotel based on various reviews with breakfast, but it was a disappointment; the breakfast is never worth the money charged by the hotel. Minimal standard for a 4-star hotel. Additionally, the orange juice is outrageous. But the ants on and around the coffee machine and the ant in my coffee cup bothered me even more! The hotel's response was as follows: one must then conduct a thorough cleaning. Not even a proper apology or anything else. This is exactly how customer satisfaction works.
For overnight stays, it's not a bad choice, but never eat breakfast or any other meals there.

Innside Meliá Wolfsburg: Autostadt, phaeno and outlets are nearby
A good starting point for further activities in Wolfsburg is the Hotel Innside by Meliá. From there, the Autostadt, the phaeno, the outlets, the main train station and also the old town are within walking distance. Innside Meliá Wolfsburg is a good mid-range hotel with very good breakfast and modern design. For example, motifs of the nearby Autostadt can be seen on several walls as timeless black-and-white shots. The hotel also has an underground car park, a small sauna and a gym.
I stayed at the hotel in October 2025 on a weekend and stayed in double room 325. Our room was about 20 sqm and equipped with a good double bed (medium hard mattresses), desk element with chair, armchair with chaise longue, TV, telephone, wardrobe element in the form of a wardrobe incl. wardrobe, safe, luggage rack and small refrigerator. A nice touch was that there were 5 free drinks in the fridge. The room also had large mirrors in the entrance area and had well-darkening curtains and laminate flooring.
The attached bathroom had a separate toilet, a walk-in shower, as well as sinks, soap dispensers and towel heating. Everything was clean, the bathroom well tiled.
Like many other hotels, the “Inside” offers to waive this Service when waiving housekeeping (from 2 nights). Then you will be credited with 400 MeliaRewards points and a small donation will be made to the Cancer Foundation.
I found the breakfast particularly good, which was set up parterre in a dining area as a buffet. There was a pleasant casual atmosphere. For breakfast there were bakery rolls, fresh fruit, cheese and sausage variations, eggs, juices (also self-pressed), various grain and dried fruit products, yogurt, Bircher cereal, etc.... At two coffee machines you could choose your desired specialty. However, during my stay the milk frothing was set too much, so that it filled more than half of the cup, e.g. with the cappu. But: A really good and varied breakfast, which, if booked separately, costs 25 euros pP (with room rate a little cheaper).
At the reception you were greeted nicely and quickly checked in (check in from 3 pm, check out until 11 am). On request, the luggage can also be temporarily stored there in a storage room, if you want to go to the car city after checking out, for example. Near the reception area there is a small bar. The Skybar "The View" is located in the 5th floor. Floor settled. There is also a roof terrace with good views.
Little tip for saving on parking costs: Just under a kilometre from the hotel, past the outlets, there is a paved car park with over 100 parking spaces near the “Berliner Brücke” – free of charge. The hotel offers parking from around 10 euros.

Although we had asked about the price (30 euros) of breakfast when we arrived, we were asked to pay 50 euros when we checked out. Breakfast was already almost completely gone an hour before the end of breakfast time. There were no fresh eggs and no selection of bread rolls left. What a shame!
