Bavarian Forest

The perfect stay-cation

With covid-19 Restrictions, we opted to stay in German. Hotel Bavaria, Zweisel made us feel that was the best decision.
The Staff are fantastic. From little touches on the breakfast table, helping personalise my husband's birthday dinner, and a fresh made bed and warm greetings everyday, they are the reason we will return.
The indoor pool is warm enough for my baby to swim and even for a full hotel, never too busy. My husband found the sauna relaxing each afternoon.
The food is fantastic. Mutliple options per day and always delicious. Sanitary is important and gloves and disinfectant are required for buffet use.
Wandering direct from the hotel was easy with the manduca and you can choose tracks to suit all levels. We found it so quiet and relaxing.
The hotel is central located for day trips to treetop walks and animal parks. And for half day trips to glass factory or shopping.
Zwiesel has a great deal with the nationalpark and public transport so you can opt not to drive during your stay if you choose.
The all-in-1 bodywash rather than soap and shampoo is the only negative thing I could find from a full week experience.
I Would 100% recommend.

Good hotel

2nd time staying there, rooms have been upgraded or are in the process of renovation. Regretfully, weather was either rainy or turned a bit freeze. Managed by owners, who are always present. Halfboard menu really good, nice and cozy setting in the bar with fire place

excellent owner run hotel

extremely attractive comfortable spacious big rooms balconies, open fantastic views. Very quiet with amazing fresh air.. Minutes downhill drive to charming bavaran town the center of crystal manufacture in Germany. Very good food even served the specialty of weiss wurst and pretzels at no extra charge as part of the breakfast buffet.trout at dinner freshly caught in a nearby mountain stream.Summer golf at a very reduced green fee near hotel.Winter cross country skiing and also sauna, steam room , pool ,and massages available. Very charming and worth a stopover.Only problem wifi did not work but was allowed to use the hotel computer at any time.
