A lovely stay - just too short!

We spent 3 wonderful nights on Amorgos at the Amorgion Village / Hotel. Nikos was a great host and the rooms were clean and well-proportioned. The pool was clean and not at all busy. Some rooms are equipped with a small kitchenette, and we ate in one evening, though there are many good restaurants.
Regarding the much talked about walk to the seafront, if you can find the shortcut, about halfway, it makes the walk much quicker, though parts are a little tricky, as the path is not great. Once you have found it though, it’s worth it. The walk back at night affords great views of the night-sky, due to the absence of light pollution.
We do need to mention the wind. When we stayed, the Meltemi winds were strong and it did spoil being by the pool a little, but you get this throughout the Cyclades in July and August.
Finally, don’t miss a walk or ferry from the harbour to Maltezi beach. It’s sheltered and serviced, with beautiful, clear water.

Secluded but Accessible

The shuttle from town is appreciated because it is a bit of a hike from the boat with luggage.
The staff, room and grounds are first class.
Breakfast is the only meal served (delicious to order), so have comfortable shoes for the hike into town and back.
Certainly not beach side, but a nice pool and wonderful views of the mountains, port and sea.

Recommended small hotel

Recommendable small hotel, with pool (which is rather rare on the island) and beautiful views. Slightly off, but also within walking distance with light from Katapola. Nevertheless, a car is highly recommended. Friendly helpful hosts who also handle the free port transfer and are always friendly and helpful.

Lovely place sunset view♥️

Hotel just above Katapola with wonderful views especially at sunset.
We stayed 4 nights and had a great time. Delicious rooms, well-kept breakfast, well-kept swimming pool with beautiful sun loungers and wooden umbrellas overlooking Katapola.
The extra element is the kindness of the staff, Alessandro who welcomed us very well with his enthusiasm and smile and always recommended the best places; and then Gregory who took us to the port, sweet.
Fantastic people from day one to the last.
We will definitely be back.
Super recommended.

Very nice hotel, Les 2 Alessandros are adorable and do everything to make your stay top, good breakfast, frankly hotel to recommend. You can rent a car via the hotel, transfer from the port to the hotel is free
