Ideal solution for the airport

Ideal solution if you need to sleep near the airport on a budget.
The hotel has been completely renovated and therefore both the rooms and the common areas are new.
The cleanliness is also at the top and the wi-fi works well (the problem reported by previous reviews has therefore been solved).
The hotel offers a convenient shuttle Service that connects to the airport in a few minutes.

Service could be improved and there is little attention to the customer.

The stay at this hotel was overall pleasant, but there are some aspects of the service that left me disappointed.
In particular, I found little clarity in the management of the airport transfer. Before departure, I had asked for information and was told a cost of €9.50. On the day of departure, when asking for support to reach the airport, I was instead booked a taxi for €15, without it being clearly explained to me that this was a different and more expensive service.
I understand the difference between a transfer and a taxi, but I would expect greater transparency from a hotel in presenting the available options and their respective costs, allowing for an informed choice.
The breakfast service was also not up to expectations: there were two waiters present and only two guests in the room, but they hardly attended to the table service. The coffee was simply prepared and left on the counter, without particular attention or availability, even though there was no crowding.
Overall, a decent experience but could be improved, especially in terms of communication and customer attention.

Great choice...

I stayed one night on September 20 at this hotel booking from Booking at a cost of €97 for a double room with breakfast. I think the cost of the room is a bit high. The hotel is almost close to the airport, it's a shame that the shuttle is paid for given the minimum distance between the airport and the hotel. Great lobby and welcoming staff. We were given room 213. Large enough room with a double bed, TV, small desk, hairdryer, French door with terrace. The small bathroom with toilet, washbasin and an open shower on the front so with the leakage of water of course. Wi-fi working. Breakfast served in a small room next to the reception, buffet with sweet and savory options, drinks etc.. Definitely the breakfast surprised us. Anyway, it was a good choice.

Sufficient

The Iris hotel is near the airport, but quite well hidden. Find the location well in advance. The hotel is old but in order. Solid layout, although the elevator stops on half floors, takes some getting used to. The rooms fine, but also no more than that. The breakfast buffet fine with plenty of choice and supply. Great hotel for 1st night if you picked up the rental car later, but don't want to be on the road in the dark. The latter is definitely recommended given the large amounts of unevenness / potholes on the roads!

George is a credit to your hotel

Very comfortable, convenient hotel. We stayed for one night as we had an early morning flight. When we checked in there was a problem with the air-con in one of our rooms. George sorted the issue immediately, we were extremely grateful as we were in the middle of a heatwave!
George was very helpful, professional and a credit to the hotel.
