Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your truly touching review and for your continued loyalty to Mitsis Norida over the years.
It means so much to all of us to know that, after more than 20 years of visits, our hotel and team still feel like a special place for you. Your incredibly kind words about Mikka, Katerina, Costas, Petros, Ellie, Yannis, George and his team, as well as our hotel manager, will genuinely make everyone smile. We will be sure to share your beautiful feedback with the entire team.
Most importantly, we are very sorry to hear that your wife has been unwell. Knowing that our team was able to offer some comfort, care, and support during your stay truly means a lot to us, as genuine hospitality is exactly what we strive for every single day. Sometimes it is the small gestures that matter most, and we are very touched that you appreciated them.
Thank you once again for your warmth, kindness, and trust throughout all these years. We sincerely hope everything goes well, and we would be absolutely delighted to welcome you both back again later this year or next May to create even more wonderful memories together.
With our warmest wishes,
Mitsis Norida Team

Poor hotel
The cleanliness around the hotel was terrible. Nappies and other rubbish were left around the poolside for three days without being removed. We specifically raised this with Guest Relations, who actually came out to the pool area, photographed the nappies and rubbish themselves and agreed that it was completely unacceptable. Despite this, incredibly, the rubbish still remained there for a further two days. If Guest Relations can physically inspect and photograph a hygiene issue, agree that it is unacceptable, and it still isn’t dealt with, it raises serious questions about the standards and management of the hotel.
Even more concerning, there was human faeces leaking across footpaths within the hotel grounds, in areas being used by guests and children. In our opinion, this represented a serious hygiene risk and was absolutely disgusting.
The swimming pools were another major disappointment. Despite the number of pools advertised around the resort, only two were realistically usable with children. The others are constructed with an extremely coarse, rough rock-like surface, meaning getting in and out without cutting or scraping yourself is extremely difficult. For a hotel marketed heavily towards families, we found this completely unsuitable.
We raised all of these issues directly with Guest Relations during our stay, so the hotel had every opportunity to address our concerns. Their proposed solution was to move us next door to their sister hotel — but at an additional cost of €900 for just three nights.
Considering we had already paid a substantial amount of money for one week at what was supposed to be a five-star hotel, we found this response unbelievable. We weren’t asking to move because we’d simply changed our minds about the hotel. We were raising genuine concerns about cleanliness, hygiene and the suitability of the facilities for our children. Being told that the solution was for us to spend another €900 was incredibly disappointing.
When you’re paying a substantial amount for a supposedly five-star family holiday, you should not have to report nappies and rubbish being left beside swimming pools for days, encounter human waste leaking across pathways, or find that the majority of the pools are unsuitable for children to use without getting cut or scraped.
What made the situation worse was that the hotel couldn’t claim they weren’t aware of the problems. Guest Relations had personally come out, seen and photographed some of them and agreed with us that the situation was unacceptable — yet the rubbish was still left there for another two days.
Problems can happen at any hotel, but what matters is how they’re dealt with. Unfortunately, both the conditions we experienced and the response after raising them fell well below what we expected.
Mitsis Norida may carry a five-star rating, but based on our experience from 9th–16th August, it was very far from a five-star hotel.
Extremely disappointing, and unfortunately we would not recommend Mitsis Norida based on our experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are genuinely sorry that certain aspects of your stay left you and your family feeling disappointed.
As you know, the concerns raised during your stay were taken seriously, with our Guest Relations team personally accompanying you to the areas you wished to highlight and communicating your feedback to the relevant departments. Different possibilities were also discussed in an effort to improve your experience while you were still with us.
Following our response to your feedback, we appreciate that you have now contacted us directly. As direct communication has been established, we believe it is more appropriate and constructive to continue discussing the individual circumstances of your stay privately rather than through a public platform.
Please be assured that your message has been received and will be personally reviewed and answered.
We genuinely appreciate the opportunity to continue the conversation and hope that, through open communication, we can address your concerns more personally.
Kind regards,
Mika Kasiou
Deputy General Manager

Fantastic Family Holiday...could do with some improvements.
Ive read a few reviews lately about the cleanliness of the hotel, we had no such issues with this, our room was cleaned daily and the hotel grounds were kept reasonably spotless and very well kept from a general landscape perspective, I think we had an ants nest on our balcony but it wasn't the end of the world, our balcony was a real sun trap so we didn't spend a lot of time on it anyway due to the heat. The hotel has an army of cleaners who keep the place looking great.
As a whole the hotel is beautiful, yes there are areas that could do with an upgrade but on the whole it felt like a nice place to be. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a family suite with a sea view and the room was great, yes a little outdated but it had a traditional greek feel which we liked. My wife was particularly happy a bath was included!
All of the staff were very attentive and were always happy to help, when speaking with the staff on reception it always felt like they wanted to help you, same with the customer relation desk. Special shout out goes to Petros, while we were over the moon we got the room upgrade it was quite a walk up a significant hill to get to it, which in that heat was no easy task, he was always on hand in the golf buggy to drive us up to the room and somehow always seemed to be there when we needed a lift down to the main reception/restaurant area. I didn't catch their names but the staff in the Mojito bar by the pool also did a great job, that bar was quite busy during the day and they always provided a quick service with a smile.
The main pools are amazing, I love coming to Greece but one of my main gripes is that most of them seem to be salt water across all of the hotels I've stayed at which isn't ideal. All of the main pools (the ones you see on the brochures) are chlorine pools and this makes a big difference. We spent most of our time in the big pool closest to the main building and it was perfect, I did venture into some of the others but the edges & bottoms were quite rough and I did see a few other guests with injuries due to this but I believe the hotel are looking into this and may be fixed in the off season.
The main restaurant was ok, as you'd expect from an all inclusive, if you left it much past 8pm it got quite busy but we were early eaters so was never an issue for us and the outside seating area was stunning. Variety was ok, they did themed food on some evenings which added a bit more, the BBQ on Thursday evenings was probably my favourite meal.
The beach was beautiful, clear water and always plenty of space, I'm not really a beach person but it had a great bar, fresh pizza and gyros stands.
My main gripe over all was the sun bed situation, I am an early riser at home but would have liked a bit of a lie in on holiday. Unfortunately this wasn't possible, realistically if you went to the pool any later than 7.30am you were not getting a sun bed around the main pool area. It seemed to get progressively earlier each day and by the last day I was sitting by the pool at 6.30am. I detest seeing sun bed wars all over social media, and didn't feel comfortable dropping towels off and then going away for a few hours so I sat down there every morning. I hate that I had to become that person walking down with my towels every morning but I paid a lot of money for the holiday so wanted a comfortable space to relax for the day. The staff were walking around checking who had left towels and walked away but out of the 10 days I was there they only acted on it once and I think it caused an even bigger headache for them. There were signs saying that towels would be removed but as above I only saw this once. It left a sour taste and made me feel like I had to go to bed at a reasonable time each night so I wasn't a complete zombie the next day.
It's a 5 star hotel, and your brochures heavily sell the great pool area, but getting up before the sun every morning to enjoy them left quite a sour taste.
My only real other gripe was the A La Carte restaurants. The restaurants themselves were stunning, down on the beach with a great view. But the food itself wasn't really up to scratch, I tried all 3 and never left feeling like id eaten a great meal, just that id eaten in a slighter better location than the main restaurant. Id say if you want a really great meal we ventured into Kardamena on 2 occasions and had 2 fantastic meals, particularly at a restaurant called 'Avli' which served us one of the best meals I've ever had. Transport to and from Kardamena is frequent and fairly priced and I know it goes against paying for 'all inclusive' but I would advise a trip into the town for a meal.
This is my 3rd stay at a Mitsis, we stayed at Alila in Rhodes a few years ago and although this is now a 'selection' hotel, it wasn't when we stayed there and the A La Cartes felt like they were a real level above.
Overall a fantastic family holiday, I return to Mitsis reguarly because it gives me assurance that if im paying a lot of money for a holiday I am going to enjoy it.
Thankyou for a great stay!!

Outstanding customer service culture from top down!
I have been in posher hotels that have not come close to the exceptional customer care I received here.
Every request was dealt with with a smile and an understanding.
The Deputy General Manager Mika should be winning Industry Awards for her dedication to her role. She answers all questions and concerns across digital platforms and on ground level at the hotel she personally steps in and ‘mucks’ in to help guests. At first I thought her online answers were AI they are so considerately crafted but even if they were, the sentiment behind them remains the same.
The staff culture towards their guests was just second to none.
I didn’t like our rooms as too noisy in the evenings (close to entertainment), I received a free upgrade when it became possible. My son wasn’t well, they sent him a get well gift. And there is much more I could mention too.
We found the hotel to be very clean, the beach bar was amazing and it was much appreciated to have pizza, gyros and ice cream on the beach (although I wish the ice cream wasn’t limited to 12-3, however it was available 10am-midnight at the creperie).
You do have to queue for things sometimes but never long, the longest ever was pizza for 20 mins at peak lunch hour on the beach.
Honestly, everyone was so lovely.
Special mention to Mika, the ladies at reception Melina, Dimitra and another lady whose name I cannot recall. Teela our lovely housekeeper, such a pleasant presence. And the man at the Mojito pool bar who has worked there for 21 years, lovely guy along with the guys at the beach bar and at the à la carte restaurants.
We enjoyed breakfast & lunch at the beachfront restaurants and the grill spot was great - don’t expect burgers & steaks..lovely sea bream, souvlaki and confit of lamb though. The pan Asian was good but felt like quite small portions.
The beach is amazing - lovely water and if you take the short walk to the Blue Domes beach the snorkelling is better right off the beach. Loungers available most of day, front rows go by maybe 10am or so. Closer to the inflatable the less music you hear from the bar or the Bravo entertainment.
Also advise breaking it up a bit and going to Kardamena by transfer for a swim on the beach using Melisa on The Beach loungers and enjoying their amazing food such as the seafood platter.
Rooms: research & choose what you want. I will say the family direct sea view suite is a lovely light, airy space with a great view but there are only one or two I think. Some of the standard rooms do not look 5* compare to other 5* hotels. But look, you can pay more to stay in higher spec 5* hotels elsewhere should you wish.
So whilst our stay wasn’t perfect mainly due to family reasons, the hotel did all in their power to give us an amazing week & I would honestly say the customer service and staff culture was the best I have experienced EVER because it felt so authentic & not forced. So a big thanks to Mika and the team for looking after us. Not easy to keep so many people happy, impossible to keep everyone happy, so they are doing a great job at keeping as many people happy as they can!
Don’t forget staff are people too, treat them as you wish to be treated, it goes both ways. Yes the hotel is providing a service but asking how people are, giving them a smile, staying calm is a common courtesy that should apply to guests not just staff!
Sorry for the novel LOL! ❤️

Your words about Mika are an extraordinary compliment and will certainly mean a great deal to her. Thank you also for recognising Melina, Dimitra, Teela and our colleagues across the bars, restaurants and reception. We will make sure your appreciation reaches them all. It is particularly rewarding to know that the small gestures and personal attention during your stay made a difference to your family.
We also genuinely appreciate the balanced and constructive way you have shared your experience, including the areas that were not quite perfect for you. Feedback like this helps us continue improving while recognising the people who make our guests' holidays special.
And please, never apologise for the “novel” — we loved every word of it!
Above all, thank you for your beautiful reminder that hospitality works both ways. Kindness, patience and human connection can transform even the smallest interaction, and we feel very fortunate that this was something you experienced with our team.

Amazing Holiday at Mitsis Norida !!
This was such an amazing holiday!
From the moment we walked into this wonderful hotel, the staff were brilliant. The hotel is clean and the location is brilliant for a relaxing stay at a 5 star hotel. We stayed in room 935 which is a sea view maisonette. The room was very spacious and clean, the beds were so comfortable and house keeping was excellent. The rooms were cleaned every day.
The food was delicious, with lots of choices, there is no chaotic scenes were people are queuing for drinks etc, the staff take you to your table and bring your tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks to you.
The Gyros and Pizza is served at the beach front, both were tasty and made fresh each day, and you can also have a Greek salad from that area if you like which is great.
Also the sweet and savoury crepes were amazing and my kids especially loved the chocolate oreo crepes!!
We also booked to eat at Ni Hao restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious and the services was amazing, each time the glass of wine was almost empty they would always top it up which was great. food was absolutely delicious. Ellie the manger greeted us at the main restaurant each day, along with other staff members lined up in the buffet giving us a warm welcome.
We used the main pool, it was clean and were able to get sun beds easily.
We all enjoyed the cocktails, they were of good quality.
We would like to thank one particular staff member who was the most attentive and helpful bar staff at the CasaBlanca Bar who worked in the evening who’s name is Panagiotis, he remembered our favourite drinks and would bring them over to us with a smile on his face. He is a credit to the hotel, such hard working and does his job really well and he always had great conversations with us. Please can you pass this message and picture we took over to him as we would really appreciate it !!
I will say everyone at this hotel made such an amazing holiday for us.
The views from the hotel are beautiful, we took 1000s of pictures and the memories of our stay at the hotel will stay with us for ever.
We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely look to come back soon.
