I don’t know what the other options in town are, but I’m not sure I agree with Rick Steves that this is the best place in town. If so – yikes! It’s just OK – not bad by any stretch, but not great. The staff is perfunctory and just professionally friendly (not really warm or welcoming); the night clerk was completely uninterested in anything but watching movies on the TV in the lobby; the room was pretty bare bones (but clean); the A/C wasn’t very efficient (we could never get it anywhere near cool enough except by leaving the window open) and there were no fans available to help; and breakfast was an unreasonable €10 per person. We were only provided one paper cup from which to drink, the walls were so thin you could hear everything, and the lighting was dim. The bathroom was a decent size and very clean; it had good counter space for toiletries, but the shower was tiny – about 2-feet square. It was nice to have a balcony, but it needed more comfortable chairs and a good cleaning. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown with its shops and restaurants as well as to the archeological site and the museums. I’m not sure we’d return – maybe/maybe not!

Calm, Welcoming and Comfort for a Stay in Olympia

Calm, Welcoming and Comfort are again waiting for a new stay in Olympia in the heart of the village. Wise advice from the owners for tours and restaurants. A highly recommendable family hotel.

Our best hotel experience in Peloponnese

Top-level service and welcome. Maria was endlessly helpful, meeting our every need. Old-fashioned, warm hotel, right next to the church. Close enough to everything but walking distance away to allow for peaceful rest. Great local recommendations.

Stayed two nights in March 2025

Would the owner of this Pelops hotel fall asleep on the laurels of Olympia?
Initially he charged us one night while we stayed 2 nights.We pointed out to him. We didn't get a thank you.
At the beginning of the stay, I warned him that the flush was leaking in abundance. She was fleeing at the time of departure. Concerned
by my environment, I closed the water supply....
At breakfast, it's better to be in the first.
Great note to the person at the front desk, available, good info, accompanied us to our room.
