Gluten free
The hotel restaurant is also excellent, and I highly recommend it to people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They prepared gluten-free meals separately for me, and the allergens are clearly listed next to the dishes.
I genuinely have nothing negative to say about the hotel. Everything was perfect, and it truly is “Elite”, just as the name suggests. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!❤️

Disappointing for an All Inclusive Hotel
Our room itself was clean, spacious and modern, although unfortunately our view consisted of a huge bush! We also had two air conditioning units in the room, but unfortunately only one of them worked.
There were also additional charges for coffee pods and bottled water in the room, which we found disappointing considering the price we had already paid for an all-inclusive holiday.
The hotel’s location was one of its positives. It was within walking distance of the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, making it easy to get out and explore the surrounding area.
The pool area, however, was quite small, meaning there was limited space for sunbeds and it often felt very overcrowded. Despite signs asking guests not to reserve sunbeds with towels, this still happened regularly, making it difficult to find somewhere to sit.
Food
Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the food, particularly the evening meals.
We only had breakfast at the hotel twice. On both occasions, the croissants and hash browns were stale, and the sausages appeared to be very cheap quality, which put us off eating breakfast there again.
The snack bar was much better. We ate lunch there on six days and generally enjoyed it. However, on one occasion my husband ordered a chicken burger and the meat was brown and red inside. It certainly did not look or taste like chicken, which was extremely concerning.
The evening meals were by far the worst part of our stay. On another occasion, my husband had a gyro from the evening buffet which was cold and had a strange chemical taste to it. Needless to say, he was unable to eat it.
We actually paid to eat out at a restaurant in town three times, which is extremely disappointing when you have paid around £4,100 for a week of all-inclusive accommodation. If our budget had allowed, we would have eaten out every evening.
I appreciate that this is a relatively small hotel, but the food selection was very limited and, in our opinion, did not cater particularly well for British guests or children. There were very few options that appealed to us, and dishes such as rabbit stew are unlikely to suit everyone.
Another major issue was that the food was often lukewarm and not all dishes were clearly labelled. As someone with severe food allergies, this was particularly worrying. I found myself mainly eating plain rice or potatoes because I simply could not risk eating something when I didn’t know exactly what it contained.
Even the labelling was not always accurate. On one occasion, a dish was labelled as chicken, but the meat appeared to be a much darker meat. This made it even more difficult to trust the information provided.
We also noticed kitchen staff bringing dishes out wearing latex gloves rather than heat-resistant gloves. This gave us the impression that the food was not being served particularly hot, which was consistent with our experience at the buffet.
Drinks & Entertainment
There were also additional charges for certain drinks at the bar. Milkshakes, smoothies, cocktails and shots were all extra, as were snacks such as crisps and popcorn. While we appreciate that not everything has to be included in an all-inclusive package, we felt there were quite a few additional costs for what was already an expensive holiday.
Entertainment was only provided on three nights a week and, unfortunately, we found it quite poor. There also weren’t enough seats available, which made it difficult to enjoy what little entertainment was provided.
Overall
There are definitely positives to this hotel. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean, and the location is excellent for accessing the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.
However, for us, the food was a major issue and ultimately had a significant impact on our holiday. Paying around £4,100 for a week of all-inclusive accommodation and then having to pay to eat out three times was extremely disappointing.
The additional charges for things such as pool towels, coffee pods, bottled water and certain drinks also added to our feeling that the all-inclusive package wasn’t as inclusive as we had expected.
Sadly, based on our experience, we would not return. The hotel has a lot of potential, but the food quality, limited choice, additional charges, room air conditioning issue and lack of entertainment really let it down.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We would, however, like to clarify a few points mentioned in your review.
Regarding the pool towels, the €30 amount was a refundable deposit, not a charge for hiring the towels. This deposit was returned to you upon the return of the towels.
The environmental/climate resilience fee is a government-imposed charge and is separate from the hotel's accommodation rate. It is clearly stated in the booking conditions and information provided at the time of reservation, so it is not a hidden cost introduced by the hotel.
Regarding the food and, in particular, your concerns about allergens, our buffet dishes are labelled with the relevant allergen information to assist guests in making informed choices. We are sorry if you had difficulty understanding or locating this information during your stay. Our food preparation and service also follow established HACCP food-safety procedures and controls.
We are particularly concerned by your comments regarding food that you believed was undercooked or served at an inappropriate temperature. We take food safety extremely seriously, and had these concerns been brought to the attention of our management or restaurant team during your stay, we would have been able to investigate the specific dishes immediately.
We are pleased that you found our rooms modern, spacious and clean and that you appreciated our convenient location. Nevertheless, we regret that your overall experience, particularly regarding the dining service, did not meet your expectations.
Thank you again for your feedback.
Kind regards,
White Olive Elite Laganas

**Very disappointing experience – nowhere near a 5-star hotel**
**Booking & Voucher – ★☆☆☆☆**
The problems started before we had even arrived. We booked directly through the hotel with a non-refundable rate. During our communication with the hotel, we noticed that the prices on their website were changed several times.
Eventually, we booked two rooms. Due to personal circumstances, we later no longer needed one of them. To be fair, the hotel offered us a voucher as a gesture of goodwill.
However, the voucher turned out to be practically worthless. The amount we had paid was transferred into a voucher, but the prices for the following year had increased so drastically that using the voucher would still require paying a significant amount on top. In reality, this made the voucher far less valuable than it initially appeared.
**Food – ★☆☆☆☆**
Unfortunately, the food was one of the biggest disappointments of our stay. The quality and taste were simply not what we would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel.
After two days, I stopped eating at the hotel altogether and chose to get food elsewhere instead. For an all-inclusive resort, this is obviously not what you expect when booking your holiday.
**Drinks – ★☆☆☆☆**
The drinks were equally disappointing, both the alcoholic drinks and the soft drinks.
The quality was so poor that I ended up buying my own drinks outside the hotel every day. Again, this completely defeats the purpose of paying for an all-inclusive stay.
**Room & Location – ★★☆☆☆**
We had specifically selected our room category before booking and paid an additional charge for it. Therefore, we were very disappointed when we arrived and discovered that our rooms were located in a corner of the children's pool area.
After speaking to reception, the staff kindly assigned us a different room. The new room itself was perfectly fine, and the rooms in general were actually one of the few positive aspects of our stay.
**Management & Service – ★★☆☆☆**
Some members of staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely tried to assist us. They were one of the few positive aspects of the hotel and obviously cannot be blamed for the overall experience.
Unfortunately, we also witnessed a very uncomfortable situation involving the manager. After he found out that the reception staff had changed our room, he became extremely angry and criticized the employees for doing so. Watching staff members being treated this way simply because they had tried to help guests left a very negative impression.
**Overall Experience – ★☆☆☆☆**
The only real positives for us were the room after the change and some of the friendly staff members.
Apart from that, the food, drinks, pricing, voucher situation and management were extremely disappointing. Having to buy both food and drinks outside the hotel after paying for an all-inclusive stay says a lot about our experience.
Overall, I cannot recommend White Olive Elite. Based on our stay, I genuinely do not understand how this hotel has been awarded a 5-star rating. The experience was nowhere near the standard I would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few points in your review.
As you correctly mention, your reservation was made under a non-refundable rate. Under the agreed terms, the unused reservation could have been forfeited. Nevertheless, as an exceptional gesture of goodwill, we offered you a voucher for the amount paid, despite the non-refundable conditions. We therefore believe it is important to clarify that this was an exception to the applicable booking conditions.
Regarding our prices, our rates are dynamic and may change depending on several factors, including demand, travel period, availability and market conditions. Therefore, the fact that prices changed at different times does not indicate any inaccurate or misleading pricing practice.
We are genuinely sorry that the food and drinks did not meet your personal expectations. This is certainly not the feedback we generally receive from our guests, and we regret that you did not enjoy our all-inclusive offering.
We must, however, address your comments regarding the management team. The incident you describe did not take place as stated in your review, and we cannot accept the presentation of this allegation as fact. We therefore kindly ask that guests are not misled by statements concerning events that did not occur.
We are pleased that, following your conversation with reception, you were provided with another room that you found satisfactory, and we appreciate your positive comments regarding some of our team members.
We respect that your overall experience was not what you had hoped for, and we are sorry that you left disappointed. At the same time, we believe it is important to clarify that while we accept and take seriously genuine criticism, a number of statements in your review do not accurately reflect what occurred.
Best regards,
