Calm and relaxing hotel

A little gem of a place to stay. Really quiet and peaceful location close to restaurants and bars.
Calm and relaxing rooms with lovely toiletries and large private balconies. Super friendly hosts and staff. Breakfast a mixture of pre-order and buffet style. It was plentiful and tasty.
Only little niggle was beds were too firm for our liking.

A house that contains the 5 elements of Le Corbusier. Beautiful, unique and timeless.

Great people, kind and friendly. You feel you have come home and the welcome is loving, as if you have never left the place. Excellent service, exquisite breakfast and delicious food, highly recommended. The only place in Kefalonia where you can experience Greek hospitality. Keep it up!

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay at the Olivemare. Due to a delayed flight we did not arrive till late evening but was met warmly and promptly shown to our stunning rooms. We were then given a lovely tray of wine and homemade cheese. A perfect start to a wonderful stay.
Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the staff were so friendly - including the cats!
Although the hotel is small I would highly recommend the Olivemare for those that want a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A haven with the atmosphere at home

Excellent location, walking distance from Katelios, with its beach and outdoor terraces from the end of the world.
Warm family welcome, spontaneously offered us to stay by the pool after Check out time, to wait for our ferry.
Simple but nice white room, very nice private terrace.
Quiet place, a haven like home.
Beautiful swimming pool

Very disappointed.!!!

My wife & I planned to stay @ the Oliemare for a week in June of this year 2024, but unfortunately it was fully booked being only 5 rooms. We eventually got booked up at the Hotel Pacifae just up the road which has been fantastic and we definitely would stay again. While we were there, we took a stroll down to the Oliemare one night to introduce ourselves and have a look around. Unfortunately, we were met by a very VERY! rude ageing ponytailed hippy that wasn't interested in engaging with us at all, and made me and my wife feel very awkward & unwelcoming, even though we were enquiring about booking to stay there next time we are in Kefalonia. So with Mr Ponytail being so cold-hearted and rude we decided to leave and NEVER! return.
And to tell all our friends on our return home, that are waiting to hear what our thoughts are after visiting the Oliemare, NOT to bother as there are plenty of other lovely inviting hotels & hosts to stay in Katelios. Especially the Pacifae Hotel.

We are very sorry that you had to spend your afternoon like this. Olivemare is a private area, only for our guests, in case you wish to come you have to contact before. Probably as you entered the venue uninvited and especially at night when the building is usually locked and there is no service at the reception, you may have caused some concern. Sorry, it wasn't clear enough that the place is private, we promise we'll fix that. Again we are sorry that you had to feel this way, we will be very happy to meet you in the future in the correct way!
