Nice, inexpensive accommodation

A big thank you to the team of the Hotel Marina for a pleasant, relaxing holiday week!
Also an "ageing" 2* hotel
proves that clean and friendly accommodation is possible for Matala travelers on a smaller budget!
Our room met all the requirements.
Comfortable bed with daily room service
and a one-time change of towel and duvet cover in a week was enough.
For fresh towels the room service the used
Make it available!
On the balcony, a "scissor clothes rack" helps to save space when drying the laundry.
Optional fridge and air conditioning at extra cost is absolutely fine.
We did not use both, a balcony hinged door opened at night fulfilled the refreshing effect in September/October!
The breakfast offered little variety, but was rich and fresh, also here optional egg dishes or fresh O-juice for additional fee (boiled breakfast egg was available several times for free, as well as homemade stirrer cake!).
A self-service refrigerator with drinks for self-service and a consumption list based on trust was also available!
The pool has us mostly late afternoon
Happy.
You walk about 15min. comfortably from the hotel to the beach of Matala!
In the evening absolutely relaxing.
Check in and check out completely uncomplicated,
typical Matala lifestyle!

Good we changed our room on arrival because 3 floors with 3 complicated suitcases + bags. So Ch rendez-vous.

Nice hotel, nice but rudimentary room, no hooks, nothing in bathroom to hang towel, clothes...Good bedding. But access to make this reception impossible for people with disabilities, stairs is no ramp ,No elevator.

Lovely family owned small hotel about a mile from the main village of Matala.

This small hotel is family owned and we were made to feel very welcome. Painted in traditional blue and white the premises were spotless and we stayed there for 2 nights bed and breakfast. Our twin room reminded me of Greek rooms of the 70s and was minimalist with a fridge, a drying rack for clothes and a veranda with pine trees outside offering shade and privacy. The breakfast was excellent offering a good range of foods. We had good air conditioning in our room which functioned efficiently. The price was very good value for money and the walk to the beach gave us our exercise. Lovely quiet situation with a small clean swimming pool.

Great place with nice atmosphere

I came here after a long search looking for a hotel or place to stay in Matala. When I got here I straight away felt welcomed (the people are amazing) and so it was an easy decision to stay in Hotel Marina.
It was the best decision as I had a great stay and could enjoy Matala fully!
Hopefully see you again one day :)

Very hospitable

My stay in the Marina Hotel was very pleasant. Very quite room and no loud neighbours. Clean and fresh sheets every day. Very good variety of breakfast choices. All in all a very pleasant experience, I would highly recommend it.
