Great holiday at Thassian Villas

My daughter booked this holiday she is TUI employee. We went with her, her husband and a four and one year old. Included was car but more if that later. Thassian Villas is in a lovely spot on the hillside. We were in Villa 1, but I believe there are six Villas. My daughter had No 2. I assume all Villas are similar and are built and fitted out to a high standard. I think you would be hard pushed to find a fault when staying there. I am sure that there are utensils in the kitchen for anything. There are towels and robes and slippers and smellies in the bathrooms. They must be the best equipped Villas in Greece. We loved our stay. I believe Doro (handyman) came every morning and cleaned to pool area and the eating area outside. I did see him cleaning and sorting out my son in laws bbq. The pool is great but look out for no rails around the pool and a slippery slope but all quite manageable. Now more important news. There is a lovely stripey/spotted female cat that we called Miss Spotty. She is so loving and we fed her as often as we could. We have left some food and hope she is fed by the next people in the Villa. She also needs worming but I couldn’t find a vetinary. So if anyone stays there it would be a help. The villas are cleaned three times a week with new bedding towels etc. We did have a great stay. There are quite a few of our Eastern European friends staying there as previously mentioned. A bit more noisy but nothing excessive really. A quick downside which isn’t Thassian Villas fault really but the is no facility for recycling and everything goes in the bin. But I don’t think there are facilities for recycling on the island. Okay quick mention of TUI hire cars. Which you pick up after getting off the ferry from Keramoti. Although they are meant to be Enterprise we had a Fiat Panda with 78000+ kms. My son in law had a 2005 Kia Rio. So don’t expect luxury. Nikos who does the cars is okay. But it is wise to take pics of everything. At the time of writing all is good and nothing has been deducted from my deposit so far. Okay that bit is not Thassian Villas. Would I come again - most certainly. Though not struck on the Coco-mat pillows. But otherwise a great holiday in Thassian Villas.

Great place Villa 6, booked through TUI,

Please look after the lovely cats who are very friendly but need food. I did get worming paste from the local vet and got the really really friendly little cat neutered for just 90 Euro’s, money well spent. We booked our 2 week holiday holiday villa, flight, transfer and car through TUI. On arrival at Thassos we were given a car to use but it was a beat up thing as the car we were meant to get wasn’t ready. So the guy just gave us the keys, no paper work and said he would come to the villa later. He did come and bring a small dirty car and left with the other one.
The villa was lovely , really nice, clean and modern and Maria who’s dies the bed linen changes is excellent, really friendly helpful and does a great job. As does Doro, from Romania , who sorts out the pool, cleans your bbq every time you use it, sorts everything out outside and even helps with your bags in and out. Maria and Doro are fabulous and made out stay very enjoyable . Although Doro doesn’t really understand our love of the animals he did but the Russians next door and ourselves cat bowls to use instead of the kitchen ones !
The villas are lovely, in a good position . Thassos time was great ,food amazing , beach’s fab and the weather was excellent . I’m a dog person myself but I wish the Greeks would look after the cats, get them spade as come the winter there are no tourist to feed them. There are some great places to eat, Mouses with the Army jeeps parked outside.

An overall satisfying experience. We’d visit again.

We stayed at villa No4.
On the plus side, we loved the decoration of the whole villa, both indoors and outdoors. It was immaculately clean and was kept clean throughout our stay. The complimentary shampoos etc by korres were a real treat. The villas are very close to local amenities and La Scala beach bar with its amazing water sports facilities. It was also very quiet and peaceful. The neighbours were a bit loud at times but this was to be expected as it is a family holiday destination. The complimentary bottle of olive oil at the end of our stay was also a very nice touch. Finally, we were lucky enough to have been booked at villa No4, which had a very convenient layout outdoors.
On the other hand, villa No4 had rather steep stairs leading to the communal garden, which makes it neither children nor mobility friendly. Additionally, there was no light by the bbq, making it very difficult to have a bbq in the evening; we actually had to use our mobile phone’s torch. A few lights would also be very useful alongside the path leading from the estate’s main parking to the villas. Unfortunately, the solution used to clean the pool gave deep yellow stains to all the light-coloured items that went into the pool, especially our swimming suits. Also, there should be a freezer in each villa instead of a communal freezer at the entrance of the estate. Furthermore, the wifi was very patchy but we acknowledge that this may be an issue with poor connection in the whole island. Finally, a minor detail was the hair dryer which could have been better.
In conclusion, we would like to clarify that the above remarks do not overall invalidate the quality of our stay but are only aimed as constructive feedback to help improve the stay in the villas overall.

Money Grabbing business and have logged 5 separate issues on returning to uk

We booked for our 25th wedding anniversary back in April and paid £3700 for 2 weeks the villa was for 4 people as in occupancy. We asked our friends to join us and they booked flights only. We all arrived together and at the villa was met by the agent for the villa to collect the Greek tax and was honest and said our friends were staying. On the 6th day of first week the agent turned up and demanded an 350 euros saying that because they were not on booking they had to pay. She wouldn't leave and demanded that I had over my credit card details. I complained to the Tui rep and said I booked with Tui and not direct with the agent and why had they turned up. The Rep came to see us and after going round the houses she agreed that because we hadn't amended the booking to include the extra people it's like a legal loop hole. However 2 years previous to that I had done the very same thing at these villas and tagged onto my brother's booking and nothing happened. The 6 villas are close by and we had Romanian families next to us who shouted all day and you could not settle by your own pool. There was a party in the next villa for a 21st birthday that we were not told about went on for 5 hours the noise was horrendous. Air con unit outside the bedroom leaked onto the balcony you couldn't sit out. Complained and was told oh it's just working overtime. We had to put a bucket under it to stop this. On queuing at the airport to come home the rep who we had dealt with pulled me from the queue and said there been another problem the car hire that was included with the villa the company had taken 340 euros from my credit card. She said she had been to pay them and said was an admin error of TUI as they not confirmed with the car hire. We received a refund days later only to have lost out again on the exchange rate. Thassos its self is a fantastic place but I would not recommend these villas you don't even have your own freezer it a communal one.
