A very good hotel in the center of Tripoli

Our choir stayed at the Alex Hotel for two nights in order to take part in the 5th Choral Festival of Panos. Our experience has been very positive. We had all the amenities and it was very clean and warm. The hospitality of the owners went beyond standard professional courtesy and won us all over. We highly recommend it.

Dirty!

I came with my wife and my two kids to room 108 17/4/2025 for school activity of the children and the shower in the bathroom was full of impurities. The room was not cleaned. After the insidious criticism I made to them the girl cleaned the room.
Only shame can I say and nothing more

Barely Ok

The hotel is on a very busy street and you can't park on the street while you check in. Once you check in you find out that the hotel has parking less than a block away. The breakfast is dreadful with no real food; just ersatz mystery meat, a hard boiled egg and some sickly sweet manufactured orange juice. The room is adequate though spartan. At night an elderly lady who doesn't speak English must hear you bang on the outside hotel window in order for her to get up and unlock the chains to the hotel entrance to let you in.

basic hotel

The room was very spacious, clean, quiet (there were few other clients), luckily it has a proper shower and not a "wet room" where water can go all over the floor, the staff are very friendly and mostly speak English well.
Loud church bells sound all day but not at night. Bed is reasonably comfy but less comfy than the other 6 hotels of our trip, and has a foot board unfortunately so tall people like me find them awkward.
Some people may find the place too basic and functional in terms of decor, and the breakfast is basic. Internet speed lower than average.

Excellent location

We stayed for an overnight on our way from Athens to Gerolimanes. Excellent location, private parking, competent and efficient staff (owner), clean. Breakfast was very good, served by the owner's mother wwho did not speak english but some french: the language barrier was not a problem at all! The city of Tripoli was a nice surprise too.
