SM Hotel Reykjavik

As a person who wants a cheap accommodation in Reykjavik , I highly recommended this place, 20-25 min away from the center,6 min away goin to Perlan Museum. Don’t expect too much since you just looking for a cheap place, you can cook and wash your clothes. Just bring your own towels. Buy for your own foods incase you want to cook. The front man named ‘Fathi’ is super nice and very accommodated and friendly to everyone.

Sad and dirty place

It’s a sad and dirty place. Don’t go there if you can afford any other option. People are living there, some of them are obviously alcoholics. The place feels unsafe, especially as a solo traveller. It almost seems to be a homeless shelter. Sheets were unwashed, toilets are dirty as well as the showers. The receptionist doesn’t speak English and seems unfriendly. There is a mosque above the hostel so you can hear people pray all day.

HOW DISGUSTING

TERRIBLE, the hostel is located inside a mosque, very dirty used sheets, filthy bathroom with brown splashes all over the toilet, the reseptionist stayed on the sofa watching us for 5 hours, rubbish cooking, the whole hostel smells like India, the showers are filthy , it's not a hostel, people live there, indecent hygienic conditions, distressing staff, religious tribal songs played at 2 am, THE MADNESS, DON'T GO THERE I STILL HAVE TO RECOVER

Do not stay here

DO NOT STAY HERE. NOT A HOSTEL IT WAS A FAMILY LIVING IN ALL THE ROOMS. CHILDREN RUNNING AND CRYING. ABSOLUTELY dreadful and they did not l ow what they were doing for reservations. Not helpful and this should not be listed to rent on any site
