Selfoss is a bit of a funny thing for me - we stopped here so many times on our south coast adventure in Iceland that I feel like I should live here. It's a tiny town with not much to offer except a 24/7 Subway and KFC, but there's also a small tourist info center and grocery markets if you're on a camping excursion (which we were.) Apparently there are waterfalls around here as well, but I know nothing of those - just the food options!
Stunning waterfalls, surrounded by mountains that range in color from black to blue to purple! Be sure to visit on a sunny day to enjoy the full effect!
This beautiful waterfall on the south coast is a good place to stop on your way to the larger and even more impressive Skogafoss falls.
A very nice waterfall. A bit far away from Reykjavik, but if visiting iceland you don't want to stay in Reykjavik anyway.
