Now improved & lot better....really nice place to stay!!!Ani_Sharma001's review made them better i guess

i stayed there for 3 days as a family trip...really nice food, for staffs i will give 3 stars!!!!! may be before i dont no abt the condition but after ani__sharma's comment i thnk they hve improvised themself!!!really nice to place to stay with nice food near omr!! didnt face any problem with water & all..

Can stay, ok for the price

For the price they charge, it is a good place. you get a 2 bedroom, hall apartment for the price of a small hotel room. There are some problems though, like the power goes off at 8am, they do have a generator but that will not run your water heater. The first morning I had to take bath in cold water and next morning I ensured that I have heated the water before 8 am.
Ordering food from the restaurant will not get added to your hotel bill so you need to pay everytime you order something.
The room I got was quiet and I was very comfortable once I understood what I can expect and what not from this place. The breakfast starts too late 8.30am but they were kind enough to service me omlette bread before that.
I would stay here again only if my workplace is walkable from here

Poor Management and Very Run Down

The Owner does not care about the overall happiness of her guests. The furniture and linens are in terrible condition. The screens have holes which allow bugs to come in. If you complain to the Owner, she does not care. Her only concern is herself. The maid service, however, is wonderful! They care about their work and try very hard to please the guests. There was a FIRE in the adjacent room to mine while I was there, and some of my personal belonging were ruined. The lady Owner would not take responsibility for my damages. She did not care and told me that she would not pay for the damages and that it was up to me whether or not I would ever return. The Manager, however, was very concerned and helpful! This was the Smart Stay Apartments in Omr Chennai. For a Businesswoman to succeed, you do not treat your guests this way. It is now her loss!!!!

horrible place with having water problem and irritating staff

Please do not go to Smart stay. They have regular water problems. Most of the days you will get brown color dirty water.
They always say yes to all the visitor for reservation and at the time of checkin they say room is avaialble only for 2 days..after that we can see if we can adjust you or not.
I have faced this twice and decided not to checkin again. My company has decided not to stay accomodate the empoyees at Smart Stay.
Breakfast service is also very poor and slow.
