Decent beach resort at Diveagar

Everything is good about the resort. However it does have scope to improve.
Location: arguably the nearest resort to the beach. Just 5 min walk. Good landscaping in the resort providing serene surrounding. Has ample car parking space, and sufficient space for kids to play.
Restaurant: won't say its servers large spread of cuisine, however at that place where food options nearby aren't too much, restaurant serves good and tasty food, attends to guests requests and has fair options
Service and staffs: staffs are very helpful and cooperative. They do not hesitate to attend to guests.
Here are somethings that needs improvements
1) Swimming pool- though they have a pool thats one of their attractions, the pool wasn't clean neither the filter were operational. That led to murky waters not fit to swim
2) A small waterfall that they have created within the premise must be operational. They operate it only for few hours in the morning, mostly around guest arrival time , seems like just welcome gesture.
The charges are on the higher side compared to the service, so that deserves a consideration

Bad experience

Our room (no 306) was stinking bcoz of gas leakage from the bathroom. Apparently they had some work done for the same but it wasn’t done properly. On letting them know all they did was to spray a room freshner in the room. Since there were no other rooms vacant they didn’t change our room on asking to do the same. We could not move out since we cudnt find an alternative at the last minute being a weekend and had to stay in this unbearable situation. They did do some work that helped reduce the smell but it wasn’t that helpful.
I am sure they must have received complaints for this before too. Then why to keep alloting such a room to guests.
A total waste of money and a big disappointment.

The resort just next to the beach

While we visited Diveagar beach we decided to stay at this newly commissioned resort. The rooms are well laid out with ample garden space all around. There is free parking and the beach is just 250m away. This is the last resort on the beach. The resort is new so there are some teething issues like laundry, lockers etc. The suites/ cottages are well spaced out and there is an internal fountain that is soothing. There is a restaurant but the food menu is limited and needs to be expanded. The resort is overall very clean and hygienic and being new looks much better in shape.
