Quiet, welcoming place

A bit off the beaten track, on the other side of the river, it's a great place to relax, do yoga on the rooftop with fellow travelers, take the odd Kung Fu course or eat food straight from their veg. garden. Definitely recommend it and would stay here again. It attracts all the right kinds of people.

Not what you're thinking

The first day, I would have liked to put 10/10. Islem, the owner is proud to say that he raises 24 children. All this is a lie. We stayed several days and discovered a dark reality. There are only 4 orphans, who do not go to school and they are the ones who take care of ALL the ungrateful tasks. In reality, slavery. I'll skip the details, but trying to get money out of tourists by using a well-trodden path, I find it disgusting. While these real children go to school or eat meat, the orphans clean the toilets, the big car of Islem or scrub the floor of the corridors. A shame. Many people in the village know this, but obviously the authorities have other problems to deal with.

Peaceful Abode

We stayed for nearly a week here as the family was so kind and helpful. It was also a great short distance from the busy town over the international tipitaka celebration. Delicious home cooked food and great common space on the roof to relax or eat, would definitely recommend to stay

Small Budget and very good attention.

It is a recommended place for a low budget, with very friendly people that make you feel very well attended.
It has a beautiful view of the town of Bodhgaya and is located in a classic Indian neighborhood, where one can really discover what it is like to live in India, whit all the good and hard things of daily life.
The place is about 30 or 40 minutes walk from the main temples of Bodhgaya.
I recommend the stay if you want to have an authentic immersion in Indian culture.

Awesome Behavior

First of all, The rate of this hotel is very cheap. Actually it is not a hotel, It is a house. Every member of this house is very very helpful. Secondly, you always feel here that you are at your home.
